I'm going to a tournament Saturday, and figured this would be an interesting build for my squad. I love Phantoms and maneuverable ships, so Vader and Whisper will fulfill that for me, while Sai is slightly tanky and a decent support ship. I don't know the if I'll need much of a bid, so I have a slight point bid but nothing huge. Any thoughts?

Maybe Collision Detector on Whisper if you don't need the bid to get the player order you need or if the bid isn't even close to beating the expected bids of your opponents running I5 or I6 ships.

Outmaneuver on Whisper is also a tempting possibility (not with Collision Detector though, not enough points), though if you're facing allot of multiarc ships Juke has a better return on investment.

I like it. But I'd suggest changing sai to jendon dropping the title and getting krenic on whisper.

Yeah, its Extended. I'm waffling on the Collision Detector, but I think I'll probably take it in the end- Whisper doesn't really need to bid and neither does Vader (even moving 1st Vader is ok and Whisper's moves are pretty well-known) and 5 points won't be close to the big bidders.

That's an option. I don't know if I'd rather have the coordinate shenanigans with Sai or Jendon's TL/Krennic bonus. Personally, knowing myself, I'll forget the Krennic abilities by the third or fourth round just because I don't normally use it. It is a good option though, I'm kinda digging the synergy.

Honestly I don't get the hype for sai. But giving all 3 ships dice mods from t1 is excellent. Otherwise kagi is by far my favorite. His ability simply wins games. Collision detector is just sick but I'd be tempted to roll echo instead if your going that route and then maxing your pts.

Either way the 3 chassis make for a solid fun and challenging list. GL.

Something nice for Vader would be Afterburners. A boost can really get him out of trouble sometimes, in a way that just access to a barrel roll can't. To that end, particularly with Sai tossing Vader a lot of Focus tokens, I don't know that FCS is really needed on Vader. He's going to have amazing action economy anyhow, and can probably afford to spend an action on a Lock. FCS might also discourage Vader from switching targets.

This would bring things to 199.

Depending on preference, Whisper could be swapped for an Echo with 0-0-0.

That's just how I'd run it.

Thanks. It's a variant of Asa's Aces, the list Asa Graf took to the Mynock Open, with a more classic Vader and Whisper instead of Soontir.

Keep juke on whisper dont put other talents. Consider dropping lambda title to increase bid to 12pts.

Won the Wave 1 Championship at my FLGS with this list, with the added Collision Detector on Whisper. Went 4-1, and Collision Detector wound up saving me when the final match was against L337, Krassis, and 3 Jakku Gunrunners.

Yeah, it was my first 2.0 tourney and it was a blast. Five really good games and great opponents. Whisper was definitively the MVP- in the final match she solo'd Krassis (with no shields) and two Gunrunners (one slightly damaged).
