New to X-wing, only have 2E ships.

Question: Imperial Raider; why does this ship not appear in the Expanded squad building lists, or on the points list? Will it be re-released under 2E?

Also - if this particular question is best suited for a different forum subsection, please advise.

First off, welcome!

Second, currently none of the 1E Epic have been rereleased for 2E, and it may be some time before we see them; to be honest (At least from my experience) they never saw much use in 1E due to Epic seeing little play.

Oh right on, ok, I think I understand -- this particular ship, along with some others, were played under something called Epic, which probably won't be reintroduced in 2E.

Unfortunately ffg is never totally clear about these things, but they have said that the 5 epic ships will be updated eventually.

Just how long 'eventually' takes is another question.

If you are interested in playing with huge ships in 2nd edition, take a look at the epic subforum for some ideas on how to best translate them.
