But aside from that... the 2018 Regionals in Nebraska at Sparta Games was the best time for me and x-wing. I think the peak was a store full of star wars aficionados singing 80's songs!

Getting rectangular evade tokens. At first, kinda thought they were ugly, but they match well, the oval focus ones. My home store only got that kit way late off eBay.

Of course, I went 1-3 in a Store Champ with the same list a few weeks later, but hey.

I really love the fact that a lot of "bad ships" are new and fun again! In my opinion there really isn't too much "terrible" stuff out there and you can pretty much fly whatever you want with some reasonable chance of success if you fly well. Thats the magic right there! I left 1.0 over a year ago because it became too much to manage and keep up with, hopefully it stays this way for a while.

One of my best moments was pulling a win in a casual store tournament, winning on time by a single point. my poe was arc dodging and using intensity to evade a g1a findsman for 10 minutes when time was called. Another was a win against a jabba + a ton of illicts, I called a double intertidal dampener play and eliminated bossk in two rounds

But wait, there's a twist! The oldest son and the middle son are considering going to a quick build tournament with me on the 20th! We may yet x-wing again!

Not a single moment, but I had a great time with local events around the release of Second Edition.

Yes I am. Was so tempted to get more....

For me, probably in 1.0 when I was flying Saw with Renegade Refit, ant-pursuit lasers and ion projector and trapping someone's ace near the edge of the board so they continually had to bumping me until the died. Also BroBots winning Worlds and 2.0 were great in general!

The FFG conversion kit unboxing videos on Twitch were awesome. The hype was through the roof.

Going to GenCon was a personal fave as well.

Nova was a blast again this year.

The Duos tournament was especially fun, I got to meet so many awesome players in a more relaxed setting.

2.0 being released. The end of Ghost/Fenn and Rebel Regen. I hated those list because it was what you would see so often at tournaments.

The conversion kit. I only got the S&V, but it had everything I needed. True, a few more Zs would be nice, but I cant complain.

Mynock open, finally a decent sized well ran tournament on the west coast. Also winning it makes me a bit biased.

2.0 releasing, and finding that even though I've never considered myself a "wargamer", X-wing holds my interest like never before.

Flew my first tournament and had a good time!

Palob throwing 3+ dice and A) not having to make it some horrendously dumb extra-dice build and B) being able to do more than 1 damage as its not TLT.

Going on hiatus and not having to deal with Scum anymore.

Either:

1) Finally winning a Store Championship
2) Finishing in the Top 8 of a Regional
3) Making Day 2 of Worlds with a 5-game win streak that included defeating three identical Ghost-Fenn lists in a row.

Looking forward to the January soft-reset for Hyperspace season. New meta, new ships, new year. 2019 is going to be lit on fleek, or whatever the youths are saying these days.

Using Gideon Hask to Ruthless kill my own Del Meeko in order to land half points on Luke in overtime of a Battle of Yavin match for the win.

Running a swarm meant that every game goes to time, and there was a full audience watching, waiting for me to make a decision. I didn't have time to min/max points and decide if it was really, really stupid or actually a genius hail mary. I just had to embrace the theme of my list and go with my gut. So satisfying!

Adepticon System Open, where I played my very best games of X-Wing ever. Both in terms of how good I felt about how I flew (took Kylo and Rho boats) and meeting those great players. Wish I could go back next year.
