Non-Official Miniatures for Star Wars RP
I bought most of my WOTC star wars minis from trollandtoad.com, I have over 500 minis and have spent somewhere around $2K on them over the last decade and a half. When I want a custom mini, and every player except the in person game I'm in has one for their character I hire @Tramp Graphics to customize them for me, so buy a mini, have it shipped to tramp in buffalo NY, pay tramp $20 including shipping and I've got a character appropriate mini (if I didn't already have a stock one). Tramp does high quality work, for best results send character art to tramp and let him pick the base mini to work from.

I am going to use my Amazon card points and buy a new TV for the game room and just put it on a stand where people can see it. Thinking 55"+ should work.
It works a treat! None of the players have had issues with the angles. It is an old TV though (only HD not UHD), so its a pretty non-reflective surface.
My word of advise is to not get too big a TV unless the table is massive. The space for books, character sheets, pizza, beer etc is much needed! Don't leave too skinny an area for those on the edge.

I haven't decided 100% quite yet. My fear is I build something and size it, then it breaks and I can't find a decent replacement without hacking the table. Plus TVs are changing so much and price points fluctuating so much. The one I have in the TV room now if I paid that much today as I did for it, I'm probably right at the limit of how big a TV I could fit in the nook. Options to mull, I've got plans for some furniture to build and I am currently refitting (ie destroying my resale value) the lower decks of my frigate..........

I know you you mean. I really did this on the cheap as I knew it would still be effective. The TV was my wife's old LCD and I bought the table on Gumtree (kinda like Craigslist) for $50. Go cheap to start and level up later

That’s an awesome tip, @EliasWindrider ! I had no idea that anyone was offering that service for such a great price. Would you mind posting a few pics of minis he’s done for you? Seeing stuff like that can be inspirational.
@Tramp Graphics , are you accepting commissions ar the moment?

I don't have a hosting service for the images but I'd be happy to email some pics to you if you pm me your email address. The "Leia Hoth Commander" -> "Arica" mini would be the best example of his work (he chose the base mini for that one based off of character art created in hero machine http://www.heromachine.com/heromachine-2-5-character-portrait-creator/ by the player who is on these boards but I won't identify the player, but he can identify himself if desired, and the mini turned out pretty awesome)
I'm pretty sure that @Tramp Graphics is accepting commissions. Btw if you let him choose the base mini and it seems too different from the character art, my advice is just trust that he knows what he's doing, he's can cut stuff off, move limbs, and sculpt accessories to be attached, and he has the materials to add lightsabers in a limited array of colors. Point is he's going to choose a better base than me (or you) because he knows what mods he's capable of (without a huge effort). And trust me $20 including shipping (after you buy the mini) is a cut rate price for this kind of work.

Emailed you the most representative (best) examole, it's the most representative example because @Tramp Graphics chose the mini for that one, he got to make all the decisions about how to meet the players specifications.
