I've not tried it for this model but white-tack is typically used for rounded or irregular shapes. People have used it in the past to create camo patterns.

For tiny details like the republic logo Vallejo makes this stuff called liquid mask that you paint on and then peels right up when you are ready. Although now I am wondering if I could have just used a very small piece of sticky tac...

This is my repaint of an Aethersprite. Wanted to start with something somewhat simple so I went with Barris' paint scheme.

I decided to repaint original Obi-Wan

Committed some simple repaints today. I'm no artist but I do posseses some metallic Sharpies which cover up the original paint pretty easily.

how? dat mech and those lines...do you have tiny elves working for you or something?

Nothing special really. Quality brush, steady hand, properly diluted paint and a table lamp with integrated magnifying glass. An I also mask (Tamiya tape) and airbrush what is possible as the lines are then much more precise.
