I know there is a thread for this but no one is ever on it. so post pics and ideas.
Terrain ideas and pictures
Mmmm.... No real terrain at the moment, it's all still being printed and mailed. But I do have some links to some less known terrain makers that might be of interest. Here is some very cool stuff I plan on getting to make a Jedha table.
This would be pretty cool for a coruscant table too, and add some height variation otherwise lacking in urban battles.

Depending on the size of it, that first one from the Knights of Dice could make a nice landing bay, with the right scatter terrain inside
I'll make a picture of my work in progress imperial monument. and put it in this thread I guess. but I got work to do first
I was planning to eventually work something out with cups, tubes and paper plates to make sort of modular mygeeto platforms. because yeah I think a more 3d battlefield would be cool, firing down from platforms, standing back from edges to prevent being fired on units padding above and below eachoter

My big desert table, during a game, it has been expanded since these pics.
My snowy table not actually in use for a game, just used to display minis for pics.
I need to make a bunch more snow terrain though.
Well, Inked Gaming now sells my Crait mats, so Crait?
There was also a crashed AT AT that was supposed to go with it, but it was in my car, and it was cold out lol.
All units and terrain will eventually be based to match the theme of Crait. Also, I'm gonna use foam to make a big trench like in the movie.

How will you store and transport something that big? Or will be more of a wall than a trench?
I'm envisioning a 3x6 piece of white foam (or a couple 3x3) with a 2" wavy gap cut through it.

Maybe a really wide ramp with a trench at the end to give the impression of a trench on a slope

So what I intend on doing is making it a piece of terrain probably 6" wide and 18" or so long. I'll stack thin foam board until I get to a depth that covers the minis but sill allows them to see a little. I'll angle cut foam to give it a ramp up. Then I'll base everything, paint it to match Crait, and seal it. I drew this up to help show what I mean:
As for transport, I'll likely buy a separate hard case similar to the one I use for my minis and custom cut soft foam to fit this and the other pieces.
Oh. So it'll be like a trench dug into a hill. That makes more sense than having it go below the main surface of the tabletop like I was thinking you'd do.

especially when using mats lol

Depends. I got a flocked mat so that I can "pop out" tiles from my desert table to produce foxholes, trenches, and such things. Albeit angular ones.
I have a ton of terrain that I have made/printed that I take with me to my LGS when I'm playing there (they have a bit at the store, but not a great amount), including a bare-bones, 3x3" Hoth board that I use for demos and Operations.
I have also been designing a layout for a Tatooine table for playing at home (where I play 70% of my games) for which I'm still printing terrain, that's going to be harder to move:
Here is another 3x3 'generic' board that I'm tinkering with:
As mentioned above, I love printing/making terrain, here are a few examples:
Love this game almost as much for the painting and scenery as I do the gameplay
