Hey guys! In the first week of January I have a tournament which will be using the No Glory format. This means that no one can use Named Pilots, Named crew/gunners, and no Named titles. Now I'm a player that hardly ever uses generics. Does anyone know of any interesting and competitive lists that involve only Generics? I have access to all of the Imperial ships, most of the Rebels, but none of the Scum.
Can you guys help me out? Any suggestions?
Help with No Glory!
5x Saber Squadron Interceptors should do it.
Or
2 Saber Squadron Interceptors and 2 Storm Squadron Adv X1's plus a few upgrades.
Edited by SonikgavThis could work for rebels. A lot of health and tractor to reduce evasion. Feel free to add more items or upgrade to talented bombers if you don’t need the bid.

I love my generic squad that went 4-0 last month-
2x Sigma Squadron w/Juke and Collision Detector
2x Saber Squadron w/Predator
Very quick, high Initiative for generics, with a decent point bid to allow you to move last to arc-dodge. It is a fragile list, but packs a decent punch.
Actually I have seen 4 Juke Sigmas flown to great effect.
Well, 4x Sigma Squadron Aces with Juke went 6-0 in the Australian Nationals in Extended format, so I'd say they're a good bet for No Glory
You could also try 2x Juke Onyx Squadron Defenders + a Barrage Bomber.
Edited by RojekRan this at a tournament with the No Glory format. Got 1st. Went against a phantom/interceptor list, a Starviper x3 list, and a couple other squads. I had alot of fun, and the deadman switch keeps your opponent at range two or better. This list wins with piloting your ships. I ran the z-95s close but not to close, and the Kfighters flew together away from the Zs.

From my own forays into the app and scouring the new 2.0 landscape it seems Empire have a good advantage in terms of initiative of generic pilots. I4 Sabres, Sigmas and Onyxes with jukes etc. will be very strong. If you go in with Phantoms make sure to have a good bid to improve odds of being being able to go 2nd versus lists with I4 pilots also.
Rebels can’t match I4 unless you take Rogue E-Wings - K-Wing barrage spam seems like it could work.
To be honest, I feel that No Glory is quite an unexplored meta, comparative to Extended and Hyperspace. Other than trying to build a good squadron, what do you anticipate your local meta bringing to the table at the tourney, and how could you potentially counter those lists?
I'm expecting lots of Proton Torpedos...LOADS of them. I could fly a I4 list with Interceptors and Phantoms, but ONE wrong move and it'll be vaporised. I'm debating fighting fire with fire, so my options are either
- 2x I4 Interceptors and 2x I4 Phantoms
- 4x I2 X-wings with Proton Torps
What do you guys think? The tournament is tomorrow so I'm still weighing my options.

Lol - I also have a No Glory tournament tomorrow... you don’t happen to be playing in Malta?
Personal preference but I think Interceptors are quite squishy and I would avoid them in No Glory. Juke Sigma Phantoms are better (IMO). Tbh I would go all juke phantoms.

Yes, that's the one. Who are you? Haha
😂 the new guy who was selling off rebels, resistance and scum! (aka Brian)
I have zero experience of the Malta Meta (X-Wing team name anyone?) so your guess is better than mine. I will be flying Empire (obviously lol) and aiming for action economy. I am very curious about other people’s lists as I have no idea what to expect.
The main lists that I drafted which if opposing would trouble me are 7x Jakku Gunrunners, 4x Fang fighters, or barrage bomb spam (punishers, k, wings etc.).
Also, seeing as how you’ve inadvertently revealed your possible lists I’ll return the courtesy:
1) 2x Delta Defenders and 1x Lambda (not sure on equipment yet)
2) 4x Juke Sigmas
3) 2x Juke Sigmas with Collision Detectors and 1x Juke Onyx Defender
4) 2x Juke Onyx Defenders and 1x Gamma Bimber with Barrage Rockets
Edited by RollingSwarm4 Juke Sigmas win easily in this format unless one is new to the game. It's not a really good format at this time, unfortunately.
Fortunately no one brought 4 Juke Sigmas... but there were 12 players, 7 of which were Empire and only one of those lists didn't have a Juke Sigma in... 😕
The Alliance and Scum were not amused.

Well, as you know Brian, but I'll let everyone else know, I flew 4 Blue Squadron Escorts with Proton Torps and S-Foils.
I managed to win all 3 of my first 3 games, only losing the last game very closely (135 to 200). I ended up taking second place
Deadman switch Z-95s are alot of fun. This is how I won against phantoms with juke.

Sadly can only fit 5 Binyare with Feedback + Static Discharge vanes, it'd be nice to Ion walk a squad of Phantoms off the table.

Aye, Dave.
I flew an Onyx Defender with Juke and two Sigma Phantoms with Juke and Collision Detectors (192 points with an 8pt bid). I came 3rd out of 12 (one spot below you, Glyph).
Game 1 = victory 111-83
Game 2 = victory 200-55
Game 3 = loss 105-200
Game 4 = victory 200-110
In my games, the Defender was the star piece. People worked so hard to take down the Phantoms that he was left unchecked and could run riot late game. I found the trick with the Phantoms was to let them lose shields rather than spend the evade and be unable to maintain cloak-evade token mechanics. I believe this kept them alive longer.
My first opponent was empire with tricked out sigma, onyx and sabre but the iniative bid gave my Phantoms the edge. I had 192 to his 196.
The second opponent was very new with a totally unoptimised list... I had cheese and incredibly lucky dice rolls. I spent a lot of time apologising.
The 3rd opponent had an Onyx Defender with Juke and FCS + a 4 Tie/In swarm (x3 i3 with Juke and x1 academy). He flew better than me. Perfect swarm formation, locking down lanes and dodging debris etc. - then the Onyx Defender flew k-turns OVER the swarm. It was a close game but he 100% outplayed me.
4th opponent had a good Scum list but I used the collision detectors on the Phantoms to divide and conquer his forces in the debris fields. Had a bit of bother an advanced sensors starviper in the late game but again, the Defender carried.
To revise the list in light of the local meta I might go for a lower bid and add either FCS or collision detector to the Onyx to give it more punch/options.
Anyways, a very successful first foray into 2.0 after a 1.5 year absence from X-wing
