After opening another Brobnar deck (I've got a 80% track record so far), I had a thought for a fun alternative tournament format. The group or FLGS chooses a House, and everyone has to use a deck that has that House in it. You could have a "Mars Attacks!" tournie, where a Mars/Shadows/Logos deck (taking AEmber and stopping opponents from forging keys) can face against a Mars/Brobnar/Sanctum deck (focused on activating off-House creatures each turn). I think you could still get a lot of play variety, and it would be interesting to see how anti-House cards like Ozmo, Martianologist are valued differently.

The idea is interesting, but there are people that only got some specific houses after opening 5+ decks, so it is hard for a local store to promote something restrictive like this.

Fair enough. I was thinking to start with the Houses from the Starter Set first. Maybe in a year or two.
