- If a ship involved in a transfer is not able to remove or gain the token involved, the transfer cannot take place .
The caveat that the ship has to be able to gain the token would seem to imply that transferring does indeed “gain” the new ship the token. So if Kyle transfers a focus to Wedge, Wedge is going to gain the focus token, and may choose to replace it with an evade per Jyn.
