The downed pilots look cool, but i don't see a reason for them to be in The game unless they become objectives like the moisture evaporators or crates.

Rebel Honor guard looks like a copycat of the imperial guard.

Much more interested in the tanks and more "realistic" troops

Thanks for the feedback.

My thoughts for downed pilots were that they would look interesting on the table and could provide some form of built-in comms style ability.

The idea for the honour guard was to make them a counterpart for Riot troopers, as if anyone would reuse the clone wars shield thing it would probably be the rebels. They would probably be weaker than the royal guard/wookies and possibly gain armour through a heavy weapon, ideally the shield itself.

More reason that any and all named unique heroes IMO. But pilots look interesting and in the visual art form that is miniature wargaming that's a huge justification in and of itself. My concern (though I want them) is that they'd become a weird OP loophole and dominate the game instead of more traditional infantry squads. There's a lot of army themes that could use them though.

Agreed. They have even less place than pilots. The insistence that everything needs a mirror opposite seems odd to me. I don't think riot troopers have any place in the game either. Unless they sell us a box of 30 cheap rioters.

Back in D20 (and I had schemes of such for D6) I used to mix mon calamari, rebel pilots, and fleet troops, to do an army that looked like it was defending itself against a boarding party. One of the many uses for pilots.

Edit: Also, a rebel pilot is a good proxy model for the Luke card if they are never gonna give us Hoth-Luke. Back in Rebel Storm, I used to do that.

I want Enfys Nest and her Marauders on both speeder bikes and foot. I'd like to see riot troopers but done in the same style of the stormtrooper enforcers/patrol troopers from Solo: ASWM. And for that matter I want patrol troopers on their bikes from Solo. And, and, and, and...😉

More pilots, more Comms upgrades and more Hardpoint varieties.

Also, more vehicles in general are needed honestly.

We could get something LIKE them, but probably NOT them. FFG doesn't seem to release movie squads. They usually throw in a token alien and/or heavy weapon options that make them decidedly not the exact same squad we saw in the film that inspired the game unit. I'd like to have a swoop gang vs biker scout battle in a bunch of canyons myself. And a Warwick Davis Marauder mini would be awesome. But see below...

I also want a bunch of the old Kenner "mini-rig" vehicles to be made into units in the game! It's no secret that I want riding beasts, but we'll probably both be disappointed as they seem to stick with the advertisements that call this a game of infantry battles. As such it will not be a surprise if vehicles and artillery remain in the shadows, and who knows if living mounts will ever appear.

But if dewbacks and tauntauns are released they'll get a sickening amount of my money.
