How many CIS and how many republic

By Rebel dude, in Star Wars: Legion

Republic, for sure. I love the clones, and would love to do an all clone force.

Guess I need to get better at painting faces/organic, because there’s probably some Jedi in my near future as long as the release schedule is such that I can afford the diversion into a second faction.

It certainly is higher on my priority than any additional X-Wing factions or buying the rebel half of GCW era.

Republic of course.

For the people and the Senate!

For The Republic!!! Bring on those cans!!!

While I have no intention of collecting either, I am quite looking forward to taking them on with my independent guerrilla forces. The Republic serve corrupt politicians, the CIS serve corrupt capitalists. Good... bad... I'm the guy with the gun.

Maybe down the line I'll get a Jedi force together- go super elite with heroes and operatives. I've got my 'gritty' force with my rebels, but the thing that makes Star Wars stand apart from a lot of other fictional universes is the Force (and wookiees) so I'd be interested in a low model count 'peacekeeping' force.

No question, Republic. Looking forward to kill'n some clankers.

Now, if FFG would just release my namesake, everything would be great.

I’ll buy both over time. However; Republic all the way!

Line up you clankers and come get some!

If there’s any non-Jedi commander, such as Cody, at or shortly after launch, then I’ll play Republic, but I’m never going to put one of those horrible traitors in my army.

i always stick with the Good guys so csi all the way...

plus they are they will be cool to have tons of BD

I'm surprised at the amount of CIS support. I fully expected it to be 90% Republic here, mostly because of the Jedi.

I'll probably collect both though, just so I have a force to use if I go up against another Republic player because MUH IMMERSION.

I expected the same on account of the storm trooper lovers. Apparently, people like their faceless soldiers to be murderous death squad types.

I've never really understood the draw, though they'd probably say the same about me and tactical dreadnought armour.

I only like the republic because of Clones. The Clone Wars series made me love them. Albeit Rebels will always be my main.

Wait...there are people who don't like Tactical Dreadnought Armour? That stuff is the schizz, especially if it happens to be the Grey Knight variety.

Say what you will about the company-that-many-refuse-to-mention, but amid their myriad of errors, Terminator Armour is surely not to be listed.

So on the inside, a stormtrooper is your average salaryman. This makes him easier to identify with.

You know, that actually makes a lot of sense.

You’ve just got to be more creative to get that immersion back :)

Empire vs Empire? Easy - there’s several legends sources of coup d’tate attempts in the empire. Admirals get the idea they can overthrow the emperor. Simply designate one the traitor and proceed.

Empire or Rebels vs CIS? Easy - there’s a contingent of clone war era holdouts that missed the war was over... and since they were not shut down they’ll fight as necessary.

Empire vs Republic? Got it again - there’s a group of clones who rejected order 66 (canon precedent for this) and are holed up in a backwater world ready to resist if approached.

Republic vs Republic - see empire scenario? Or just call it Order 66 vs those who rejected it (just don’t bring non-Anakin Jedi on the 66 side :) )

Immersion remains possible as long as one is creative enough to world create based on known canon and a little legends.

I really liked how they handled the clones in the series. The whole brothers-in-arms and treating them as more than mindless automatons brainwashed to obey orders really made for excellent storytelling (even if they had to retcon explain the order 66 flip in the lost episodes). The named clones were probably my favorite part of that series too, at least from the republic side (I also have a soft spot for Death Watch).

Two vaders / emperors?

one is a puppet/robot/ clone with technology to mimmic the REAL one!

In my area, the common one is Veers and Veers, at which point I inform my opponent mine is actually Walter Donovan and advise them to choose wisely during the game.

Otherwise the mirror matches with the same commander don’t happen as much at my game store.

I'm literally the only Alliance player I know so mirror matches are never a problem.

The weird immersion here is when you get empire and republic fighting each other. Each with a Palpatine leading it as Chancellor and Emperor.

Will be fun.

Considering how many clones ole Sparky had in Dark Empire, it's not all that hard to create a scenario.
