Buy a fang and firespray

Lando's Falcon isn't a bad choice either.

Hi Rebel Dude, welcome to the fold.

scum has a lot of options. what is ur budget? i am primarily a scum player, although I have been known to dabble with imperials ;)

recommend buying 3-4 ships out of the gates. Best options for scum imo are firespray, y-wing, fang fighter, G1A-starfighter, Starviper, Lando's Falcon. (pick 3-4 u like)

really nice filler ships to round out ur list are Quadrajet Spacetug and the new Ming Guild Tie-fighter (im aiming to get 1-2 of these myself eventually but they arent the core of any list so id say are less of a priority for you right away)

Be aware that some scum cards are not in the scum and villainy conversion kit, the most important one being the Moldy Crow hwk-290 title which only appears in the rebel conversion kit (I would have listed the Hwk-290 in the above ship options but i would not bother with it right away as its nowhere near as good wout the title)

3-4 ship lists are pretty potent right now for competitive play. If u r a casual player then just buy what u like flying and ignore the above advice.

Welcome to the game! If you like scum, I'll second what TBot said. I've had fun playing both the Firespray and the Fang Fighters. I haven't played Lando's Falcon yet, but it's a cool looking ship.

Most importantly, to piggyback off others comments, firesprays and fangs are already in 2.0 standalones, so I would start there before sinking into a conversion kit + models.

Fly the ships you like most.

Thanks i have 2.0 and my budget is small but i love star wars and miniatures games.

is 1.0 that different from 2.0 for casual play? or do i need to get a conversion kit to get old ships?

You CAN get a conversion kit for scum.

If you do you CAN buy old ships for variety.

But Fang+Boba+Falcon is plenty fun for a while.

But realistically you want more after a while 😀

thanks.

Also, the Mining Guild TIE will likely release next week; another Scum option.

And welcome!

I would also second this as a good starting point until you play enough to know what you want. If you want to field a full 200 point fleet a third Fang or Lando's Falcon are both options depending on price. And the Mining Guild Tie will be an option soon as well.

Everything in the conversion kits is eventually going to get included in stand alone expansions. If you have a big budget and wanted to get a big collection quickly it might be worth hunting up 1.0 expansions and buying a kit, but otherwise you can just stick with the already released 2.0 kits and ignore everything from 1.0, eventually you will be able to get everything that way. It may just take a couple years.

Judging by your avatar name, you should buy 3 Y-Wings and at least 1 or 2 extra T65s.

Sell off those TIEs on eBay.
