As I maintain - I have a draft “community edition” of rules ready to go whenever the game is “complete”.

Its not yet, so let’s speculate on what can and may be done NOW with what we have in the meantime, if we’re going to spend time speculating 🙂

Dras, you were the first person I thought of to fulfill the role of "Arbitrator General" of SW Armada after all is said and done. I think nearly everyone would agree that your knowledge and insight of rules and related issues is unmatched outside of FFG. 😊

We’d be remiss to miss @i2xCross there, for all honesty.

Im vocal and forefront.

Hes the man FFG has trusted with arbitrating the biggest games of our OP season.

Since the release of the the core and wave one we have gotten many new squadron keywords. How would you update any of the older squads to make them feel more authentic to fluff without breaking them? I have been doing a fluff list that has Vader squadron and if I could I would make him more closely emulate his performance in Rebels: Siege of Lothal, Take away escort (Vader dosent take hits for people), add rogue (Doesn't need some joker on a bridge to order him around), add counter 2 (makes you pay for targeting him), trade a brace for a scatter (spinnings a good trick)! Is this to strong? Would he need a points adjustment as well? Who would you change and how and why?

All of the Empire rogue squads from R&V suck. Well, maybe not suck, but they are really expensive for what they do, possible the generics moreso than the aces.

They've paid the rogue tax AND the Rhymer tax (which I'm guessing was not only reflected in points, but in both speed and anti-ship armament). Both of which are no longer a thing (well, Rhymer is a thing, but not ubiquitous anymore).

Like a lot of you, it really irked me that Vader had Escort. Then I decided that he must have that keyword for the inverse reason: Vader has Escort, not because he takes care of other squadrons but because he cannot BE escorted. Which does seem right.

Tell that the rest of black aquadron 😁

I can't.

They had Escort, 3 Hull and no Defense Tokens and died as soon as I sneezed in their direction.

Yeah... some Moff or other might have given them the job of being Vader’s wingman, but I bet they’re doing all they can to keep up.

Played a Siege of Lothal themed game today. Let my opponent use Vader with brace/scatter rogue and counter 1. It really felt like Vader! 21 points might be to few, maybe somewhere in the 23-25 ish zone would be perfect. Either way he really did feel terrifying. And the damage out put!! Fun game ended with imperial victory by 6 points!

You dropped escort as well?

Yes. I like the idea of Vader not taking any damage for anyone else. Also the norm when he goes out in a fighter is that he has other pilots protecting him, wether or not they are effective in that task is a different story. Counter 1 seems like plenty especially with his ability to count crits when attacking. Add in rogue becomes icing on the cake. Like I said before 21 points feels cheep but when compared to a few other ships may be about right. IG-88 might be evidence to raising his cost by one to four points, but after what I saw from him I would gladly pay 25 points for this version.

Han Solo seems a bit expensive for what he does, but not a rebel player so can’t really comment.

He's a bit pricey, but @shmitty and I have found him invaluable in Sato lists. Between his ability and Grit, he can be very frustrating to pin down. That is the ideal characteristic of a Sato squadron. Every Sato list I make starts with Tycho and Han at this point.

Han is always a struggle to fit into a fleet, but I’m never sad I took him. Hera is frequently the same way for me.

Spot on. I had him in a Sato fleet for one of my SCs and he drove other players crazy (him and Hera). Since he isn't seen a lot on the table, people always forget about his abilities.
