These ships are so similar. Ive enjoyed flying triple T65s. Do you think triple T70s will be stronger?? I think the fact that the T70s dont lose their 3rd attack dice if they catch someone in bullseye might let them outperform the T65. Lets look how similar they are:

So no, I think the t-70 is really way too pricey and the abilities far too situational. Seems more like you're building Resistance around synergy jank or in support of someone who doesn't suck (Rey/poe)

Plus, lulo at I 5 is so cheap that id NEVER a t70 over him unless the points were too awkward or if I wanted m9g8

For example, Ello and Snap have imo fantastic positioning abilities. Without mods, though, they don't mean diddly. Therefore, m9g8 at least is required on a scrub t70, and then possibly further supported by a c3po bober that can check swarms that would otherwise dice your pricey; not so great ships

So, almost every T-70 ace has Heroic and I think people are really underestimating that as passive dice mod and a mulligan against the worst results (especially with their hp and 2 green dice, you're going to get at least 1-2 good defensive uses out of it every game). To top it off, Pava is still Pava. She's still throwing a fully modded shot every turn pretty easily with a cheap BB or R5 that can add utility or give her extra re-rolls on key turns. I think it's going to be super easy to run trip T-70's and have somewhat modded dice basically all the time.

For context, Wedge doesn't mod anything. He kind of mods the enemy defense dice with his pilot ability, but beyond that, he's just a 1 action dude that's a somewhat maneuverable I6. If he's finding his way into every winning Rebel list, we're pretty much garaunteed that a good trip T-70 is going to come out. Whether it's better than some of the trip T-65 combos remains to be seen, but there's some really good stuff here, so I'd be surprised if the T-70 ended up being as underwhelming as you're thinking it will.

Now I LOVE heroic, don't get me wrong, but it's no substitute for Luke Forcus or than casually ignoring dice altogether. Only Poe hits that level, and even then not nearly as easily

Plus, they're all higher I on average (6, 5, 5)

Good call on pava, though. Rx-53 is only 3 points. Just gotta work through low I and formation flying for only two rounds of mods...

And still pricier than a blue squad m9g8 caddie!(AND pricier than predator wedge!!!)

I suspect T-70s will become pretty dominant, but given the point costs, I am honest to god expecting A-Wings to be The Resistance's bread and butter.

I will say though that since we saw an X-Wing with a two man seat in Resistance, I'd really love to be able to get rid of the hardpoint for a crew slot instead.

I'm in on quad T-70s. Red Squadrons with Tractor, Blue Squadrons with Crack, or Black Squadrons, I want to try all three!

T-70s have always been improved more than their cost increased when compared to the classic X-wings. The difference is that now they are their own faction.

However I think it is coming down to now what format is being played than what ship is out. Both T-65 and T-70 are in Hyperspace but in Extended the cheapest thing Resistance can put out is an A-wing II where Alliance can put out Z-95s and a stolen TIE. In Hyperspace, that changes to a Y-wing for rebels and they tend to require more upgrades than an X-wing.
