I've seen someone post about this over on BGG, and heard of groups doing it.
Basically - all three don't work together, mostly because X-Wing is already in Armada (most the primary fighters everyone knows, up to 'epic'-scale ships, that exist in X-Wing also exist in Armada). However, I've heard of X-Wing + Legion working alright, as well as Legion + Armada. For my money, this last is more interesting, as you can have simultaneous games tying things together (IE., something like a mixed objective of 'fire lines' and 'ion cannons' - the winner of the 'fire lines' objective each turn gets to lay down some ground assault on the Legion table, while in Legion you could have a team holding an objective that is an ion cannon control that lets the side in advantage periodically fire ion shots into orbit).
At least...that works more for mini-campaigns or otherwise-synced battles. If going for a longer campaign...no idea, there, sorry! (Although if FFG had half a mind about them, they'd have someone working on that right quick...)
* EDIT: I assume you mean 'Legion' (the mini skirmish game), rather than 'Imperial Assault' (the dungeon crawl)?
Edited by xanderfyou can do Battle of scarif with all three though, and it seems pretty fun.

It's been done, and it's super cool!
Never done it using any of the star wars games but used to run games similar to this using ww2 minis. Naval minis covered the escorting of the transports delivering units to the enemy shores. The transports that arrived safely "unloaded" their troops. Then the microscale ground battle took place with the goal of both sides to get certain units into a building complex where it shifted to a 25mm attack defense. Quite fun and as each stage depended on the results of the prior stage, made for some interesting choices. Trying this in the star wars universe sounds quite exciting. Too bad, I cannot afford all the minis I used to have. Maybe someone will let me borrow some toys to play with...
EDIT: I just saw Grand admiral Buford posted a similar thing, but this might illustrate how it can apply to FFG SW games
I'm trying to make a campaign using legends book sources and the movies where you basically zoom in for big battles.
for example
Scarrif space:
have an area where fighters can leave the battle but must do so before turn X, these fighters become the fighters you use in X-Wing ( also transports)
Scarrif air:
the rebel force is made up of fighters that managed to break free from the space battle before the shield gate closed,
during turn X and Y count the numbers on both sides, the side with the most fighters left gets an airstrike in legion, transports leave on turn Z to deliver reinforcements
Scarrif ground:
during turn X and Y the side that won airstrikes is able to use them,
on turn Z additional reinforcements arrive depending on surviving transports.
additional options
you can also switch the order of the battle like have the ground fight over AA batteries, etc or have AA emplacements capable of negating airstrikes in legion or have X-Wing fighters peel off to join the space battle.
Story mode?
You could try an armada mission where a couple of CR90's have to evade imperial ships where the imps can scan the registration if hey get within X which if the imperials manage to do they get a bonus in the boarding battle, or based on the ammount of damage etc. while the rebels try to not get scanned/damaged/to the other side.

My FLGS did this alternating between xwing and armada with the faction that won the most xwing games getting a favorable objective for the armada week. Usually the xwing games represented a small starfighter raid with the armada being the fleet response
A couple of years ago, Nova Squadron did a game combining Armada and X-wing into a single game running concurrently. Ok, they also used an 11 foot Star Destroyer in the X-wing game, but whatever we can't all be so cool as they are. Stuff from both games impacted each other. Sounded very cool.
