Happy Friday. Need 4 Modified Ties then I'm good with Scum (technically 1 expac + 3 Dials... A bit of paint and some snipping works otherwise
)
. Planning on waiting till Wave 3 for any Faction focusing after that (Vultures, Bug-22s, and a 2 Sloopin LARGE BASE WITH CLOAK!!!!!).
Which Format will you be playing is the better question.
Extended is the answer.

Extended is the answer.
Opposite for me, Extended can't die fast enough. Too many nonsense combos, makes the games too mentally exhausting and generally not fun.
After all the spoilers, I'm probably just going to be triple T-70ing for the forseeable future
All of them. 2.0 and extended. Only got two mining guild TIES ant two RZ-A2 A-Wings coming. What is the most correct solution coming from the new wave? Thought I was in the ballpark but it looks like more TIEs or A's might be in order. Maybe both?!?!?
Anyway, good to see the official Hyperspace format and the new ships being fleshed out with points and stats. Maybe this will help FFG in facing the dilemma it has with Rebel ships and 2.0. Namely, make it competitive without making it a foregone conclusion.
Still some Rebels, maybe occasionally Imperial...
Resistance in about a week or so...
And Republic and CIS in a few months
If I were starting the game now, I'd definitely go all-in on both Clone Wars factions, and then slowly/eventually get into Rebels or Resistance... Not sure which of that pair I'd actually prioritize, though.

Well 2nd edition is eventually going to become extended. You are not planning on leaving after Wave 10?

We have no reason to believe they're just going to merge formats, but even if they do, hopefully they'll work out some of the more egregious pricing discrepancies.

Well what are they going to do after all the ships in the conversion kits get their own release for 2nd edition? I mean then why announce the release of the Scum Z-95 expansion and the Empire TIE-Striker expansion for wave 3 which is the debut of the Clone Wars factions?
As for pricing well that is what the app is for. Now if they get it working or not that is another story.

They're going to have a rotating format? I mean, that was always my understanding, it's just more convenient starting out to have it be 2.0 only to make it beginner friendly. I mean, I approve, otherwise the game is just going to eventually be the same bloated mess as 1.0, but with rotation you can create a meta that's never truly solved and for the players that want all the toys, they can just stay in extended much like Magic with it's Legacy format.

I haven't heard of a rotation, and to be honest I have quit many games with that. Rotations make sense for card games but these games have models and miniatures which have a little more intrinsic value than say a card. Having these models set up as on/off switches would not be healthy for the game, even on a competitive format. In Warhammer 40k GW delisted many models that had a codex entry but you could always proxy them as a different unit/hero. In X-wing, the models have to match the tiles so proxying a A-wing as a B-wing (because A-wings are not legal at the time) will not work.
Game kinda bores me worth it's overemphasis if Iv5+, so I found love I never thought I'd have in Capt Kagi
He may not be much in the alk-purpose-anti-initiative-killing department, but my God is it lovely to not AUTODIE to higher intiative torpedoes anymore!
So kagi is letting me enjoy my favoritest bombers again (Jonus und rhymer, baby!) along with the lovely lt kestal
Gonna go ahead and ride this wave for a bit
Kagi Escorts Kestal (palp)
(36) Captain Jonus
(6) Barrage Rockets
(1) Trick Shot
Points 43
(34) Major Rhymer
(6) Barrage Rockets
(6) Adv. Proton Torpedoes
(1) Trick Shot
Points 47
(36) Lieutenant Kestal
(6) Barrage Rockets
(6) Ion Cannon Turret
(1) Ruthless
Points 49
(48) Captain Kagi
(13) Emperor Palpatine
Points 61
Total points: 200
Everything, as far as faction goes; two Red Vets and a Bomber was my fun Resistance list, and I'm not sure what I'll try for First Order. I'll have to have my grubby mits on the Conversion Kits before I start formulating.
As for Hyperspace? I'll try it, but I'm not necessarily excited about dumping ships that I like for aesthetic and fluff reasons. I do see the appeal in flying lists with limited content; makes you think outside the general meta box, etc. It will largely depend on what the people in my local casual group are doing on the rare days I can attend.
Excited for everything, to be sure!

Let's just say I disagree. The inability of a design team to compartmentalize elements of their game i.e. different formats and simply add more stuff over time creates a monstrously unhealthy game that's unapproachable for a new player and loses it's luster for veterans just as fast as the issues with creation create a game a of whack a mole for the devs when every broken combo they smack down just leads to another dominating the meta. Then again, that's a philosophical thing, so I guess we'll just agree to disagree.
Good Friday.
Mostly Resistance (Rey/Poe) my favorite 1.0 List, Iβll sprinkle in the bombers and RZ-2s of course. Then until CIS/New Republic bide my time mixing in some Boba Scum lists.
I prefer the challenge of list building in hyperspace.
Hi @Cubanboy happy Friday to you! My wallet hates me for buying at least one of everything. π Iβm really looking forward to fielding some clones and Jedi when they arrive, I donβt fly competitively so itβs really all about having fun with all my little plastic toys.
Happy friday !
Empire and First Order because I have the most of them but I will certainly stick with the First Order for a moment ! But when Clone Wars will be here, my wallet will suffer...
I'll be playing the 3 Rs: Rebels, Resistance, Republic... but buying all 7 because I have a problem.
First Order for a bit. CIS when it comes in. I like that I can start simple with the low number of ships.
Happy Friday!
Well, I have the initial 3, but not sure how much I actually play Rebels. I'll probably round off First Order and get those ships I don't have to make the conversion kit worth it.
I'm excited about the Separatists. Yeeeehaww! We are succeedin'!
All the factions. All the formats.
I see no reason to limit myself.
(My bank account, however, disapproves with all the ferociousness of a small yappy-type dog.)

I'm looking forward to hyperspace scum. I want to make Han work, but until I figure out a good build for him with 4-LOM missing I'm going to go with a simple list like you - fenn and two firesprays

I like it. Enough of a danger to keep your opponent wary of ignoring them to go after Fenn with a good bit of beef to back up the bite.
Even a pair of Bounty Hunters can be a significant threat.
Resistance, strictly. I want to become as good as I can with each of its ships, no ifs ands or buts.
