Predator is going to trigger a lot less than M9-G8, but I think there are issues with just comparing areas covered by bullseye vs regular arcs, and using that ratio. Ships in X-Wing aren't randomly placed, and movement actions should also be taken into account.

The extreme case is Soontir Fel. He clearly is able to activate his bullseye arc far more often than merely coverage area would suggest. A-Wings are going to be somewhere in the middle.

I'm still putting Heroic as my #1 pick, though. It's basically 1/5th the mathematical effectiveness as Predator+Elusive, Lone Wolf, but without position requirements, and with unlimited charges, for 1 point, compared to 4-5 for the others.

Yeah Heroic is essentially a no brainer in terms of EPTs for L'ulo. It is so good that I thought it was going to be a one of charge like Crackshot. The fact it is continuous makes me a little worried balance wise, although that's my opponents problem not mine. I'm just of the mindset that putting an M9-G8 lock onto him just makes him all the better and doesn't step on Heroic's toes either. I must say though, M9-G8 was my favorite mech from 1.0, so he will likely be in 100% of my resistance lists either way, so bias is afoot.

Heroic is a tourney card, not a casual nights card.

For 1pt, its dumb not to take Heroic. I played maybe 20+ games of snapshot Awings in 1st edition and I cant tell you the number of times a harpoon or proton torp one shotted my poor guys. Went up against Dengar/Tel and blanked out on two torp shots in the same game. ****, Dash with HLC was one shotting my poor A's. Heroic would probably have been game changers in 20% of my matches. Having an Awing live just 1 round longer to get a shot, or a block, even just stay alive to be shot again instead of another Awing is huge.

And then, Heroic works on offense as well!!

It's a no brainer add IMO. Having your I5 ace get one-shotted in just one game in a 6 round swiss tourney, puts you at a huge disadvantage in that match and can cause you to miss the cut losing that game because of ****ing green dice. Heroic says "Nah, **** you dice. We playing this *** out."

Is it gonna work the two/three games you go to causal night running it on a single Awing? Probably not. Will it work one time in a 6 round tourney and save your bacon? More than likely.

agreed. nothing is more feels bad than your focus equipped A-wing at R3 behind a rock getting shot by a weapons disabled tie fighter... tie fighter rolls 1 crit. A-wing rolls 5 blanks. shields were already down, direct hit. bye bye a-wing.

Nothing ruins my fun like getting ruined by dice! Now, that'll be less likely!!! (Or more funny when it inveitably double blanks)

Double blanks are 1 out of 5 for me. Heroic is gonna be worht about 10pts per ship in my squads

Heroic + Juke sounds like a great combo for RZ-2s. Both work out of each arc and they both either directly help Offense and Defense or at least encourage both in the case of Juke.

The real question is what to bring on my RZ-1s when they get updated in January?

Jake w/ Predator + Outmanuever?

Lone Wolf/Outmanuever super flanker?

Arvel w/ Intimidation + Predator!!!

GSP w/ Crack Shot/Predator

or Trick Shot/Outmanuever/Concussion Missile?

oh yes, if RZ1's get double mods that will be incredible!

Crackshot/Intimidation for everyone.

Less interested in bullseye stuff due to the whole two arc thing (which is great for dodging arcs while still have shots, as ARCs have taught me)

agreed. which is why I think juke is one of the best upgrades for them. Tallie however likes her bullseye so I don't mind putting bullseye stuff on her.... like marksman prockets!

Arvel is probably Crack/Intimidation.

Honestly, I don't think I'd put more than Crack Shot on any other Rebel RZ-1. Not on a Green. Probably not really on Jake, either. There isn't really a second Talent which seems cost-effective enough. I mean, would Outmaneuver mean Jake has some punch? Sure. But is that worth the points? Let's presume some massive point cost reductions. Arvel to 34, Jake to 35. I'd rather have a 36 point Crack-Jake than a 42 point Crack/Out-Jake.

Maybe Jake is a Lone Wolf platform. But then he's up to 40 points with Crack Shot. I think I'd rather keep him at just 36. Like, unless he's cheaper than Sabine, why bother bringing Jake at all.

Is there a case for daredevil (yes that one!) ok L’ulo?

I think Heroic/Juke is pretty good on her, but then unless you coordinate another action onto her and she isn’t already stressed, she won’t have Focus and evade. In that case i prefer Focus, and Juke is not the best option anymore.

Daredevil permits you to have some cases where she can get a shot and a stress for her ability when you don’t need to rotate the arc and you need extra 45 degrees of turn.
