it's a smokeable kashyyyk lettuce
##role confirmed
I'll be gaming until this evening but should be on after that.
I would vote for ebonhawk, but I see that he's covered his bases in the rules

Aww yeah, thats the good kashyyk

Nice... we all just need a little love from time to time.
has everyone confirmed? who are we waiting for?
##roll kashyyyk
Oops, I meant
##role confirmed
Before I even confirm I need to flag that I may well be offline for most of Saturday as I am hosting my traditional belated Thanksgiving!

The rules say you can't vote for Ebon Hawk, but it doesn't say you can't vote for EbonHawk (one word).
#vote Classic Ben
PodRacer, you have to unvote first.
Surely, in a situation like this, with an open game, 12 roles / 12 players, the first thing we should do is ask everyone to claim.
The scum will either have to claim vanilla, or claim a named role, which can then be opposed by the actual holders of those roles.
Since there are roles that the players that have them do not know they have (traitor, backup, lynchproof), presumably those people are also of the opinion that they are vanilla - so we will have 5 people claiming vanilla town who actually think they are vanilla (only 2 of which actually are), and 3 people who think aren't and say they are.
Immediately we are down to a 3 in 8 chance of correctly lynching scum, which is a lot better than 3 in 12.
And one of those 8 is lynchproof, so win / win. But one is a traitor - so presumably we won't be able to tell if they are lynchproof or traitor. Hmmm.
If the scum claim a named role, and someone else claims that role, then we have 50/50 split on scum, and 100% the next night if we fail.
Is there an obvious flaw in this otherwise brilliant plan? (apart from ID'ing our power roles like the Doc and the Jailer and so on).
Cheers!

I believe the traitor knows their role, they're just locked out of the sum chat.
I just dont want to win that way.
Score a townpoint for thinking of it tho, that's a ballsy way to lead as scum.
I'm with mad on that one. I think it's definitely a great way for us to get a leg up against scum, but feels cheap IMHO.
Well, that's an intriguing idea. My impression is that trying to win Mafia like solving a math problem is 1) impressive. I never would have thought of that solution. 2) risky. Especially if you don't have unanimous agreement to begin with, I just wouldn't do it. Consider the no-vote scenario with Jabba/Broba.
Hmm, well I agree that a immediate mass claim would be effective but unsporty. Let's wait a couple days for that
I remember from last time I suggested a mass claim that the biggest factor stopping it from happening is a redirect for the Mod and the effort that has gone into game design, set up and the like. And especially in the wake of just how extraordinary Jabba’s last game was I have an even deeper degree of respect for mods and what they do.
So shall we at least see how the next couple of days play out first?
I also agree with Bertie - maths-ing Mafia our can work but more often doesn’t. Known Unknowns vs unknown unknowns etc.
But there is one happy benefit - @LTD currently leads in the Townstakes!

Or perhaps its all an Elaborate ruse... Let's not right him off as innocent just yet
Write!
Aaaagh!
etc.
Fine, we’ll do it the old fashioned way - bring each person to L-1 and make them claim one by one.

Reason: LTD is pretty right and quite in the way I do things, lol. I read Mad refuse as honest cause, you know, the very first this way turned "broken" he got hunged (if I am remembering well, which I really bad at). Cal just looked at a scum catched off guard and also teamed up with Mad. I can't say too much about those who came later as the opinion was already seated. But I also would say +1 townie point for Pod cause he was thinking on why LTD said that instead of what he said. Jabba, not sure, maybe he was clarifying a point or just smoking his refusal to engage.
No more reads thus far.
I also have to check the setup, cause I came from a PM from Ebon, I didn't read the setup, but I started to guess we are at Kashyyk, lol

May you show me the piece where this is said? I am reading the setup but I must be missing it. Please, I am feeling pretty stupid. 😅
