[MAFIA] - A small town far far away
3 minutes ago, Herowannabe said:Hey all, sorry about my rampant inactivity the past few days. Work and lack of sleep hit me harder than I was expecting. Trying to get caught up on everything now. Anyone want to help me out with a quick recap? Also what is this riddle thing people are going on about?
Riddles went out via private message (at least that's how mine came in).
Dead:
Mads - Jailkeeper
Clon - Town Backup
Batman is here somehow involved.
6 minutes ago, Caldias said:I want to hear from @Herowannabe as I know he is pretty busy, but it's been a few days now and would like his thoughts. I might have missed others who have been lurking, but I think all should pipe in with thoughts soon.
Right now my thoughts are mostly “what the heck is going on?” Batman? Riddles? A completely unnecessary appropriate amount of HHGttG references? The only thing I know for sure is that it would probably be a good idea to ## take the towel from Mad’s corpse.

it must be one is the side effects from the Improbability drive.
*one of the side effects
1 hour ago, Caldias said:But if town lynchproof is nightkillable and scum traitor isn't, we could get lucky if scum guesses wrong, Does scum traitor die if nightkilled, or join scum?
The traitor joins scum, and has one vote. Lynchproof gets a double vote, but Ebon said it was invisible, so you'd have to take their word for it (presumably because otherwise it would be too easy to tell the traitor and the lynchproof apart).
It amounts to the same thing though - if we lynch an unlynchable, then to find out which it is we just push someone to L-1 and call the GM. If it works we know. If it doesn’t, then we know that too.

Ah okay, I misread one of them as deathproof instead of lynchproof for some reason. So nevermind the questions about dying at night vs lynch
So does that mean if the double voter is the last two votes, someone else still has to hammer? I don't see how double voting would be as helpful then.
3 hours ago, Caldias said:The Setup:
Mafia - Goon
Mafia - Roleblocker
Mafia - Traitor (Joins Scum after death, will appear lynchproof for essence of solve)
Town - JailkeeperTown - Doc
Town - Universal Backup JailK/Doc (unaware of role)Town - Lynchproof (unaware till lynched) (Double vote after lynch)
Town - Vanilla
Town - Vanilla
Town - 1x Lie Detector
Town - Fruit Vendor
3rd Party Arsonist
So, we lost some serious power over the first day/night. Looks like we have Lie Detector and Doc left. Fruit Vendor can't do much now that jailkeeper is dead (although Ebon might have some more surprises for us). Double voter can help us, but we don't get him unless we get lucky.
The fruit vendor is actually helpful, not a great role though. But he may reveal a visit and someone else may "certificate" it. So he is a town role easy to proof his towniness.
For example, I didn't get my "nightly" piece last night so I cannot proof anyone's claim.
I also think his little power might be more useful later than sooner.

It seems really easy that way and too obvious. It would lead to the traitor's dead quickly. I cannot figure out a way we won't know after the hammer though. If works that way not so bad for us but it still offer some problems.
1. If we lynch the traitor we missed a lynch and save a missed kill to the scum team. We also not know until day after he proof himself by voting (my guess is that the extra vote won't count until day ends but who knows... @EbonHawk ?). So missed lynch, kill, lynch, kill, traitor's execution.
2. If we lynch the town lynchproof, we also missed a lynch. And he will die by night unless doc is alive, what also means that the doc "should" be protecting the traitor in the first case.
To me that leads to same thing: let's focus on what we're missing here...
... Vote record.
I will try to put my thoughts on that later but I must vote today IRL. With some luck we will hang someone else today but I guess we will hang ourselves...
I also have a party at home for my brother so it will be hard until tonight what would be here like in 11h

Same, I mean I'm 99% sure at least but still no confirmation
I have not received my riddle yet; I am probably one of the last ones. Anyway, what do you guys think about Jabba?

Attraka rose with the sun. Lumbering to his reinforced porch, he let it warm his rich brown pelt, lighting it gold. Back home, it would have been a race to the fishing boats with elder brother Ranacca, down the sun-dappled hardwood platforms through the wroshyrs. Trading jibes and pushing, but never too hard. Here it was so flat... but Kashyyyk was lost, and his people with it. He felt a twing of grief run through his heart and forced it aside. He needed time to heal his mind and spirit. Life here was peaceful but difficult; a perfect path to recovery. The lettuce grew tall; soon harvest would come.

These are all his posts since D1 began. While many other people have tried to get an analysis of the overall game, Jabba hasn't really seemed to be posting much that's useful for town.
https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Lie_Detector
Since the one-shot lie detector is the closest thing we have to a cop in this game, I would suggest that everyone makes a clear "I am town" statement for lie detector to analyze, if lie detector hasn't already used their ability. It would make it much easier for him/her to use his/her ability for something useful.

They will flop town same as traitor, only difference is the double vote which only I see, so when you're told it's on you guys to believe it or not

it counts as hammer, and the person with it knows they have two votes... Improbable I know but it makes people tread carefully

FYI: I now have answers back for each group of riddles, and can confirm in each set was a wrong answer. Batman is most displeased and has told us to get off his planet as soon as we can.
We have 6hrs 30 minutes left before the riddler finds our camp and we need to skedaddle
Edited by EbonHawkI got my riddle, but it’s stumping me. Although, I take it from this:

That it doesn’t really matter whether or not I figure it out... 😕

Yes, with a wrong one back for each batch I thought it better to notify everyone of the time and not wait, if you want to answer I'll still tell you if you got it right
Do we wanna rush a lynch through or no lynch?
Also I was visited by the fruit vendor last night.
Delicious ty!
