Is ‘the plan’ here really to just take Clon/A.N.Other to L-1 and force a claim?

I’ll do it if that really is what the village so wills but I am nervous about outing a power role like this!

This doesn't sound like typical LP. Usually you're in favor of voting someone off D1.

What about the 30 Altairian *dollars we need each day?

I have us covered, although I only have limited funds so we may have to lose a few people along the way improbable I know

I can't by chance convince you to move your vote off me before you go, can i?

"Hey you, sass that Hoopy Ebon Hawk? There's a frood who really knows where his towel is!"

you can take a towel

Ok. It seems pretty clear that we are doing the Random Death Game. Am ready to vote @clontroper5 if that’s what it takes (or claim myself when I read L-2 if that’s how it plays)

Anyway, @Madaghmire @Caldias any reads? Any gut calls?

Oh yes of course, I was somewhat flustered after my homeworld was demolished to make room for a intergalactic highway, but that is no excuse to forgetting my towel

It’s bedtime folks!

Sorry Clone - but if it weren’t for you and your pesky (mentor) kids, Ebon and I would have (vampirically) gotten away with it!

The Clon train’s looking like the likeliest D1 choice rn. If a claim or defense is to be had let’s get it while we have time to react.

I have a couple town reads, but I’d rather not advertise them when they aren’t being pressured.

Bertie’s vote on you is what I’m looking at right now. I’m trying to figure it out.

Here’s the thing, LP wasn’t advocating a no vote. He’s claiming to be worried about systematically forcing claims. Now, LP just went to sleep, or I would have asked him what he sees as the difference between that and general scum hunting, which I loosely define as application of pressure and judgement of the pressured’s response. But he’s not around to answer it for me, I guess.

@Bertie Wooster whats with the misrepresentation of Bertie’s position?

Hi Mads - am still awake for a few more mins!

“Here’s the thing, LP wasn’t advocating a no vote. He’s claiming to be worried about systematically forcing claims. — good question! I guess I would the difference through my developing philosophy of reluctance to ‘solve’ Mafia through logical elimination as opposed to social deduction. So whilst I embrace “pressure and judgement” I find myself more and more resisting (and indeed not even really trusting) ‘maths it out’.

Sorry if I could/should have explained that better and I appreciate I was probably jumbling up too many points together all at once. Hope this makes a wee bit more sense.

Oh! And the other thing I meant to say was that there is a difference in my mind in forcing claims as the game goes on with other data providing context and systematically gaming D1 by bringing each player to L-1 to force a claim (a path that I could see possessing considerable benefit for scum actually).

Time to make your claim, @clontroper5

I understand the concern about not doing a mass role claim, I think LP and I are on the same page there, hopefully for the same reasons, if we are both town.

His comment I quoted seemed to imply (but perhaps I misunderstood) that he would prefer not to vote clon, or anyone (I'm guessing that's what he meant by "another") on D1 because they'll get to L-1 and have to reveal their role.

After reading his later posts, it seems like he really just doesn't want people to reveal roles randomly. Which I agree with, which is good, because I felt like LP and I were on the same page up until that one post. We both agree on not treating this like a 5th grade math problem with one easy solution.

OK. I think I see what you mean; the picking of clon as target seems random, so picking a random person to claim their role could be bad for town. Something like that?

I thought you meant you wanted to vote for no one, because then no one will have to claim a role.
