That's a good point. I'll risk it anyway.

Like a 90-minute drive from Tucson to Phoenix.
But my next fly-in is Krayt Cup, which is that same drive followed by $121 round trip flight across three time zones.
Flight prices are weird.

I don’t think so? I meant it more as in I don’t want to pay for a convention in addition to travel & entry fee.

oh but I can fly to Italy system open for $900.
how does that make a any sense?!
even better, Australia, with reg economy, but today for free upgrade to business. $850
wow...
Edited by WiredinI guess I'm well suited to travel around the country (US) from Denver. My tickets to NOVA US Nationals was $225. I flew to PAX Unplugged for $180. And I bought those tickets two weeks prior. My flight to the Phoenix SOS was also $180. I'll use miles to go to Adepticon Chicago SOS but again, those flights are like $200. Probably the most expensive tickets would be to Gencon because Indy is a crappy airport and is always expensive to fly into.

I live in Western Washington state, so I can usually make it to at least one Regional and a System Open once a year without flying. I've been up to Vancouver for their Regional, was a very fun time, and the Vancouver X-Wing scene is great. Lots of friendly, fun players who come down to try and take our prizes!

Vancouver is a beautiful place, a few of them came to our regional in Calgary. good people. Our group has decided to invade Phoenix instead of Seattle this year tho, because cheaper.
