2.0 = The age of proxy!
Look, in the distance! It's a vague thing... hazy... I cannot really see it. I bet that whatever it is, it confirms everything I already firmly believe about the world. I'll treat this as certainly true. It makes me so mad.

He didn't say that at all, and your habit of putting words in peoples mouths is a problem.
He said many people in the fan-base will themselves say that, which is true. every single person I know who plays this game has used words like:
"addictive"
"plastic crack"
"probably shouldn't have but i did"
"couldn't help myself"
or the infamous "how did i end up with so many TIEs?"
the point is that miniature games attract Collectors and the game is designed to encourage the compulsion to collect. Whether its the "gotta catch em all" of different paintjobs or the bundling of components, FFG is in the business of sales. they'll do what they need to in order to sell you things. it certainly isn't illegal and I don't even think its immoral, but its still not in the best interest of the consumer, and its okay to point that out.

We must always remember & be reminded that NO , we don't always need every expansion or multiples of every ship. This is financially and mentally unhealthy. This is now extremely true because there are 7 factions. People who "compulsively" purchase X-wing are themselves likely to say they do so because of immaturity and lack of wisdom.
X-wing is still for now worth paying some money for. FFG will push us all to drop dollars. You can push back. For my part, I avoided purchasing an unneeded and wasteful 2e core set. Definitely dropping a faction & so far have only purchased 1 conversion kit. Resistance convert kit is too pricey at $30 cause it would only convert 3 ships for me. I'll wait until I can get a deal at $20 or less. I practice what I preach.

Bold by me from his post.
I literally quoted him and you are saying he never said that.
You make so much **** up and lie so **** much. I suppose quoting someone word for word is putting words in there mouths.... Just happens it's there own words.

Just looked at the Wave III previews and I see Calibrated Laser Targeting plus a title for the Delta-7 Aethersprite is available in the Delta-7 Aethersprite expansion but not the Guardians of the Republic Expansion, which means if you buy everything you can't run your second Delta-7 Aethersprite with those upgrades (and you know they'll be good.)
I understand things like the A-Wing cards in Rebel Aces came out later as a fix, but these are in the same wave so literally no excuse for this!
Still umming and ahhing about buying into second edition, this is probably the final nail in the coffin. We keep getting promises you've sorted out this type of thing then you do it again.
The op fails to understand business practice. Also seems to feel entitled to have things exactly the way he wants them.
Buy stuff or don’t. No one cares.

getting tired of the misdirection bull dude. just stop
If an argument like the one from the OP is unsound because we lack information on the product point that out.
Giving a company a free pass because "They need to make money!" is just so wrong.
Right now we don't know the contet of the expansions so a wait and see stance is appropiate.
you guys are so mad over like
what
****
ya'll got paychecks spend 'em how you want who cares
