Messaging a deck's owner?

By badalchemist, in KeyForge

I'm just curious if this is on the horizon for the app. It would be nice to be able to send a message to the owner of a deck with a cool name or house/card combo to work out a trade. You could add an option to disable messages if people don't want to be bothered.

there are no deck owners in the app, anyone can register any deck

I know that anyone can register any deck, but how do you conclude that there are no deck owners? It tracks whether a deck has been scanned for the first time, so couldn't it in theory be storing the name of the account that scanned it for the first time? Is there more information about this elsewhere?

And what if you were the first to scan a deck and then traded it, are you still the owner?

It doesn’t display the information on the owner of the deck, but it keeps track of who scans the decks and stores that information - hence the ability to hit the “My decks” button and look at your own decks. So clearly they are keeping track.

and “anyone can register any deck” is pretty much BS. You need the QR code or the number. I don’t know why you would be scanning decks you don’t own, but whatever. You can’t just enter a deck you don’t have access to.

Maybe instead of having a debate about the technical feasibility of an application neither of us wrote and are purely speculating about, you could simply address the merits of the idea itself? Sound good???

I have decks scanned that belong to different people, they are all under "my decks", but I only own three of them. I don't know where you are going with this, but as it is, the app can't do that because it doesn't track ownership. If that is a function you wish it would have, sure, fine.

Sounds good!

Personally, I don't know if I'd want random people messaging me about a deck I own. I can see the poor human with the 8x Horsemen deck getting all kinds of offers to buy the deck off them.

Have you seen the underlying database schema? You are stating this like it's a fact. If you're not going to actually respond to the original intent of my post, can you just go away?

One of the developers of the app pretty much told us this during one of the ffg live streams, so yes, I consider it fact. Deal with it.
