I personally rather like the Y-Wing, with the exception of the actual engines in the nacelles which I think should still be round as I think the alternative he uses fits less in Star Wars.

I am less interested in the FO Tie Bomber he made up, it fits the FO aesthetic fairly well and is better than a simple pallet swap but still not my favorite.

There is allot of the Star Trek Intrepid Class in his Y-Wing's nacelles (or one of the smaller Vor'Cha knockoffs, ECHenry's Y-Wing is a dead ringer for a Klingon frigate). The First Order bomber reminds me of the Legends Scimitar bomber, not a bad thing.

I can definitely see that, the engines do look more Trek than Star Wars with them being angular. Considering that the Y-Wing was the workhorse of the Rebellion I'd hope that we see some form of ship made from that manufacturer, be it an updated y-wing or a new ship entirely, hopefully it will just have more utility than the Resistance Bomber which is so very specialized for orbital carpet bombing that it has a hard time doing much else.

He's of the opinion Multi-role with torps > Dedicated Role with torps so there, in his opinion, is no purpose for a Y-Wing post Galactic Civil War other than long range recon and courier detail, and that the B-Wing did what the Y-Wing did better. Neither count are something I agree with.

Technically its well made, but I really don't see the need to have a 1 to 1 translation of every ship. Resistance had the Star Fortress, its nice with some difference.
