With the new Team battles rules released we have another exciting option to play the game. I noticed there was no alterations to the force org chart, Min 1 commander and 3 troops for each side and a reduction to 600 point per player.

what do you see as being effective in your 600?

What synergies will you try for across the team?

With the limited points do you expect to see higher costed points like Vader it Luke?

any other thoughts?

i am looking forward to trying this, though since I supply both sides normally for my friends and I it’s going to be a challenge, but a fun one.

I could see Palp + Vader synergizing well.

I think it’ll bring the “not Veers” imperial commanders out a lot more.

I've already been doing something like this, but in a 2 vs 1 format where the two person team has 600 points each and the solo player has 1200 points. It's a lot of fun. With more limited points, I do think that it'll be fairly common to see more expensive commanders in play from one person while the other, in the empire's instance, may field an AT-ST with Veers.

I already did a team battle at a legion demo but we each had 500 points, one commander each, each player could only have 4 or 3 command cards but each teammate could not see the others command cards. We would alternate who went each round like 1,3,2,4 (1,2 were the first team) the first round then 3,1,4,2 the next. Vader was very effective though. Once had the objective, no body could stop him. The most effective thing was snipers. Four (because it was the limit divided by half rounded up) snipers in the board was super effective. Getting a flame AT RT in there was also effective.

Doing a team battle tomorrow to introduce 3 new people to the game. I am also using my new robot city board, so I'm excited to get that on the table. If anyone has any other experience that want to share please let me know.

I posted it in the terrain section. The game actually ended up being cancelled. But I am hopeful to get it in soon.
