Honestly, I would have expected it out by now, and we're getting dangerously close to December and general Christmas madness, and there is still no firm release date. We still don't have articles for the Bomber, Silencer and sf, and they typically space those out a bit before release. Has there been any hint from FFG beyond what they said half a year ago? I'm beginning to expect the wave to slip into 2019.

The only preview that hasn't been done is one for the Mining guild tie. The Bomber, Silencer, SF, and 1300 are ships only avaible from the conversion kit, so they likely won't get preview articles. Down the line we may some for them when their 2.0 packaging is made.

Besides the holiday reminder article recently that said Wave 2 would be out soon no official release date, bunch of speculations though.

The upgrade kits I'd say unlikely... the minis I'd guess at being a firm 'hahahaha... No'.
But who actually knows. Ever since the Asmodee assimilation the Upcoming page has been nearly useless for anything that does not say "Shipping" or "In Stores".

As it stands the Upgrade kits are "at the printer." The new SWRPG book "Rise of the Separatists" has been on the boat for almost 10 weeks. But no one knows what that really means. On the ship, off the ship but on the docks, stuck in FFG's warehouse - these are all possibilities.

Something being printed is even more vague.

So... the chances are really good that, no, no we will not be seeing anything from Wave 2 this year.

That all being said, I do hope to be pleasantly surprised and they both somehow release this year.

I would be surprised if they didn't try to make it for Christmas.

I suspect by the middle of next month.

Otherwise would just be... Peculiar.

Local distributor says they are ready for release, just waiting for USA to get their shipment.

Don't trust that page, it's got no real relation to where the product actually is. It's all done and ready to go.

Yeah, I'd be shocked if it wasn't at least out a week or two before Christmas.

This. As in, my FLGS has a notice cutting off pre-orders, shipping and street date. The FLGS confirmed when asked.

It was marked as an 'Early Release - UK' though, so for whatever reasons it seems like we might be getting it ahead of the rest of the world?

Depending on where the expansions and the current state of politics the US may have with that country at the moment, this is likely.

Maybe. As it seems to be unique to the UK it makes me wonder if there's a warehousing/distribution crunch expected in mid-December and they've had to pull the trigger early.

my local LFGS has confirmed now wave 2 release on his FFG release shipment schedule between now and Dec 6. it is FFG so they could spring it randomly. but I'm thinking the 13th right now based on the data.

30th is really odd as that is a Friday. Ffg always release on a Thursday.

Even when a Destiny set got a unique early release pre-Xmas, with the US release being Jan, it was still a Thursday.

But i do think it is next week.

I agree that would be odd. But as @Wiredin mentioned. If it were to release on Decemeber 6th that in itself is a Thursday. But there are so many conflicting reports from people "supposedly" knowing things. I'd be very surprised if any other country released it before the United States could.

Why, has FFG ever missed a release date before?

I think reviewers are even already being sent their copies so I'd imagine a release here shortly. Unless I'm misremembering something. @Crabbok there was a notification that review copies were on their way, right?

Fingers crossed...….

Review releases would satisfy me. I can’t play for a few weeks anyway, but I want to theorycraft / list build while I’m doing some traveling.

I've heard wave 2 will be on sale this weekend during the Gdansk System Open. You won't list-build without point cost pdf tho.
