So All is not lost, I still have two others but I can’t repair the grip on the stand so I fear I will have to glue it in place, meaning that the ship board won’t be able to be switched anymore. My question is, should I make it a permanent VSD 1 or a VSD 2, considering I still have two others that can be either? Which one am I most likely to need?

Honestly, if that’s the case, don’t do anything - between having 3 victories and an indeterminate amount of ISDs, Interdictors, GSDs, Peltas and MC30s, there is likely to be a spare stand somewhere even if not the exact same height...

if its it’s not, and something else, well... I hate the idea of glued stands one way or another, as I always disassemble, a glued stand would just break anew for me...🙂

I’m not sure there will be trying to run a six player CC with just mine and one other collection, but I hope so. It won’t stand at all at the moment.

But I mean, I’m also mean, so if the friend who broke it is playing, he has to give up a stand somewhere and use a shipless base...

Quite true, customer support has been quite accommodating, assuming u stay in the U.S. or know someone who does

as Drasnighta said, the vsd stand is quite common among other ship bases. The really unique and more difficult to replace is the potato's stand

I'm in AUS and have had great experience with FFG's customer service replacing parts so I don't think it's strictly US.

I feel bad doing that as they have been great in the past with actual problems and I don’t want to take the piss.

Alternatively if FFG won't replace the part. Check out Mels miniatures. They have all the stand pieces you want.
