I have a Wave 1 local tournament in a couple of weeks, and thought up this list. I'm comfortable flying agile ships (Interceptors/Phantoms), and feel this will best evoke a similar flying style. Thoughts/suggestions to better the list?

I might also upgrade Gid to Skutu - double down on your Bullseye-seeking.

I don't really like Maarek or Night. I feel like Ved and Valen would be better uses of your time

Seyn marana can cancel a crit to deal a facedown damage bypasses shields put marksmen ship changes hit to crit in bullseye, shes 31pts drop gideon.

Just warning you, without a reaper giving coordinate maarek steel really sucks, you wanna target lock but you need to focus if there is even one gun on him...

I gave him a lot of practice but I really feel he isn’t worth his points, even in wave 1, sometimes he is great but with so much high ps in wave 1 (vader Luke boba wedge fenn) he really just dies most the time and is no better then a tie fighter

i love empire but in wave one it’s hard to play anything but vader and ties or a tie swarm, the other options are just underpowered compared to the other factions

my suggestion is just get great with vader, load him up with everything you need and get good with him because he is gonna carry you

some ideas I’ve had

Darth Vader + Supernatural Reflexes + Afterburners /

Scarif Base Pilot + Death Troopers / Seyn Marana + Marksmanship / "Wampa" /

two heavy hitting ties and and the reaper can both pass extra actions(also helps slow him down) or disrupt linked actions and K turns with death troopers

of course this is just a template, you can drop a tie down to a academy and get vermeil, or switch out for different ties

also afterburners are amazing on vader, I think ore important then fcs, those two boosts can seriously save your game!

and this is a long message but you can also run him with howlrunner and 3 other ties and that’s pretty good too
