I just tried Imperial Assault for the first time and thought the game was fantastic. Check out my Battle Report and Initial Impressions Article at.... https://mustcontainminis.com/2018/11/first-impressions-of-imperial-assault-and-battle-report.html

Welcome,

, and thanks for a great report
AI really is something special, for sure
I see you guys have bought quite a few extra packs for your game, mostly to replace core Box cardboard tokens with actual minis, although there's also Obi-Wan, C3PO, & R2D2 + the extra Stormtrooper pack (but where's the regular AT-ST?). All cool stuff, but _IF_ the point of a point here was to show off the core game, you might want to add an explainer that you've got an extra dozen or so minis compared to what comes in the core box
But yeah, great first impression article
PS: Regular, analogue IA campaigns are even more fun than the app Version, IMHO, although the app is invaluable too. Try to get a group together to run an analogue game as well
if you have any questions only listen to a1bert .

Only because Clipper has presence only on BoardGameGeek.
It's true. @a1bert is our rules guru. It's pretty amazing really. LOL
Also, I'm a huge cheerleader for this game. I really feel it's the most thematic if you're trying to play a Star Wars game. I'm also a huge proponent for trying to use every figure in the game. I really only feel like the E-Web engineer is unplayable. Otherwise, a huge plus to this game is how newer upgrades and command cards have made older figures playable again.
It's also a HUGE value since it can be played as a 2-4 player skirmish, or with 1-5 players as a campaign. Also, there are very few ways to cheat (if any), which I love. And finally, you get to sit down! Very civilized. The only drawback I find is that the map building for skirmish is annoying, which is why I buy the mats.
Also don't forget the third play mode: solo/co-op play with the Legends of the Alliance app (I have played it a LOT) or solo the core campaign with user-created (web) app Imperial Directive.

Sounds like it is worth a look sometime. Thanks!

Thank you very much Angelman2. I did not realize that the set presented was more than the base set as the collection belongs to someone else. I will add that statement into the article.
