How Do You Become a Marshal?

Looking through various rules and it mentions about Marshals. Now I'm assuming these are like MTG judges, so...

How do we become Marshals?

Yeah...about that...don’t

If you want to become a Marshal you just find a TO (or become one) and ask them, if they agree...well, that’s it. You’re a Marshal.

I thought it might be like that, but asked just in case there was an FFG way of doing it. Thanks..
