Okay so I know that alot of characters have the drive skill but when does it actually come into use in game that much? But more importantly I would love to know your ideas on how to create a combat from vehicles. See i know in other systems they flesh it out alot, now in the 40K universe I never really see vehicle combat as being that important but it did come up in one of my games. I though well why not asign the vehicle hp just like a individual but obviously more and a armor rateing. It worked out well I think but I would love to hear any ideas for a more controlled system.
Vehicle Combat
There is an official web suplement that covers vehicles and riding mounts for DH (and obviously RT, DW and whatever else comes out later).
It is called "Apocripha: Vehicles and Riding Beasts." Should pop up for you with a Google search. The cover page has a skull on it.
So far my group has made use of a Chimera APC, Sentinel Scout, Sentinel Lifter and a Navy boarding shuttle of unspecified model. Once they ascend to Throne Agent status Aquila Landers and Guncutters will quickly make the list as well. Salamander Command Vehicles are also a good choice for a military vehicle to use and abuse in your game. Likewise Rhino APCs if you have significant Adeptus Arbites or Adepta Sororitas presence in your game. Scout Bikes can be really fun in the right scenario.
This suplement also makes the Wrangle skill alot more useful, since it has "stuff to do on a mount"
I believe you can find the supplement on Dark Reign. If you're having trouble, message me and I can send it to you.
I found the file thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I'm still wondering when Fantasy Flight is going to actually print vehicle rules in a book. Yes, I know the old BI apocrypha is perfectly good and usable, but it seems really unprofessional to me that the RPG still doesn't have actual vehicle rules published in a supplement somewhere, especially considering how often this question comes up. You can't even download the BI apocrypha from the official Dark Heresy web page, but instead must hunt the internet for it.
Personally, I'm thinking the fact that they haven't published something, nor indicated that they have any plans to, suggests that they're planning on a new edition at some point in the near-ish future. Unless maybe FFG is going to put them in Deathwatch. Those are the only reasons I can think of that make sense. But then again, I don't suppose the mind of game designers really needs to make sense...
Still, it'd be nice to have some official answer on this at least (this and the problem with Scum Income, but that's another dead horse...).

Check through some of the Rogue Trader designer diaries. It's mentioned that vehicle rules were written to go into the Rogue Trader rulebook, but were cut for space reasons. I imagine that they'll make their way into a book sooner or later.
Heck, I would cheerfully shell out some cash for a well presented "Dark Heresy: Motorpool" or whatever they decide to call it. Include all the vehicle rules (mount, ground, skimmer, flyer and small-scale void ships [fighters, shuttles and so on]), include stats for vehicle mounted weapons, a nice big catalogue of vehicles and variant patterns and limited customization rules (like the Mechanicus approved upgrades included in the various Codex books). Probably a blank "vehicle record sheet" for photocopying too.

I'd buy it. I could see a 40k RPG Motorpool that would cover DH, RH, & DW.
