Card Text:
While Titan Mechanic is on a flank, each key costs -1[Æ]
The card text seems to be clear. EACH key costs -1. So the opponents key should be at -1 too. On the other hand, why would your Titan Mechanic help the opponent build a key? 🤔

It benefits both players. It does have the condition, so if you really don't want your opponent to have the benefit, play creatures on both sides of the Mechanic.

Yep it’s a constant effect that helps both players. Typically only want to play it if you need just 1 to forge a key and your opponent doesn’t. You can also always just put a creature on the side of it on turns you wont benefit from it, then Suicide that creature in an attack when you need it active again.

Might I suggest "Transposition Sandals"?
My deck with "Titan Mechanic" came with this card as well. I think it looks neat-o.

Wow lucky synergy. Play that at your lgs and watch flies buzz over that deck list just to be sure it's real.
