BOOO, sickness canx's game

By LTuser, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Every 2nd sat in the month, i hold a 2nd edition AD&D game, with 4 standard players, and 1-2 pick ups every now and then. Last sat SHOULD have been the normal game day, but 2 of my 4 regulars were out of town and a 3rd had weekend work.

So we shifted to this weekend.. One (who was out of town) came down with the flu, picked up from his family get together last weekend. And it's morphed into phenumonia. A 2nd has his daughter in hospital cause of her rising fever from the flu, even though she supposedly got her shot near halloween. And a 3rd has wife issues... So this weekends game also got canxed..

BOOO..

Though i do understand family issues takes precedence over gaming, it sucks when it happens..

I always get sad about my RPG sessions this time of year. So many cancellations. :(

The ones i hate the worst, is when you've had players roger up AS coming, then canx at the last minute...

So you drive to whereever for said game session, spend half an hr waiting, no one shows up.

Had they canxed before hand, you'd have not had to waste the gas money traveling.

Honestly, I think you should be more worried about your friend’s health and your other friend’s daughter in the hospital than your D&D game. Both sound quite serious. I’m sure you didn’t mean it but you come across as a bit petulant and unsympathetic.

I fully understand people have family to take care of, i was just going "BOO" as a "man this sucks".. Not trying to say that they should have kept the game going regardless..
