Planets Astrogation Data sector question

By Mefyrx, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Dantooine

Astrogation Data:

Dantooine system, Raioballo Sector, Outer Rim Territories

Raxus Prime

Astrogation Data: Raxus system, Tion Hegemony, Outer Rim Territories

Where do they get their sector:

If I look at the Galaxy Map, Raxus Prime is located in the "Tion Cluster", not "Tion Hegemony"

and Dantooine is located in the Imperial Remnant (40ABY) I guess sector....not "Raioballo Sector" ...

Hand wave it

Start HERE.

Sectors are often too small to show on galaxy-wide maps, they typically contain a ballpark of 10-500 inhabited planets. The Tion Cluster and Imperial Remnant are both areas of space containing multiple sectors.

There are a number of subsets used in galactic navigation. For example:

Raxus is inside the Raxus System which is inside the Tion Hegemony which is inside the Tion Cluster which is inside the Greater Tion which is inside the Outer Rim.

Nice, apparently, I don't have that one.... I'll use wookiepedia.... some aren't showing in the book though such http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Affavan_system does shows up in S-12 but at least it is a good indication

wookiepedia

As long as I'm here, you can't do that. Surely you've been on these forums long enough to know that.

Is that an inside joke that wookiepedia is bad?

No, Wookieepedia is great. But go to Wookieepedia and look at it.

That big banner on top that says Wookieepedia. Just look it.

I don't see such a banner on top......

Either way, I don't see why a planet location would be private information...

No, the inside joke is that Yaccarus can't stand to see the word 'Wookiee' misspelled.

Aldan doesn’t exist.

Aleen: Bright Jewel Sector

Arbooine: Unknown. It has never appeared on any map and has no specified location.

Aurea: Corellian Sector

Bardotta: Unknown. It’s in the Colonies.

You wanna know the other ones, look them up on your own. I got other stuff to do.

Oh, thanks, I meant on the map itself ….the square location

This is always pretty accurate... or accurate enough for my tastes.

Thanks, yes I've seen that one..... the problem is that the square locations from this website doesn't fit the square locations in the FFG books....

Edited by Mefyrx

or do they …. Dagobah seem to have the proper location...

I was chking at Jedha H-12 to make this assumption ….which is H-10 on the website.... but that is close....

Well on second though, they seem ok ….probably found the only one that didn't match....yeah thanks I'll work with this

Actually, Jedha is supposed to be H-10 from Wookieepedia... so FFG got it wrong...

The Tion Hegemony and Tion Cluster are the same thing. Its a large area of space that isn't directly under the control of the Galactic Imperium during the time of the original trilogy. They still have Imperial oversight, in a loose sense, but are allowed a modicum of independence.

Well, not the exact same thing. The Tion Cluster is an area of galactic geography, while the Tion Hegemony is a sector (so a political denomination of the Republic/Empire) within the cluster.
