I realized to late that i missed the green part in between his legs but actually i don´´ t mind

I looked at the first pic and felt conflicted but then realised that it was a step by step. It looks great.

I thought the same thing. At first I thought it was a cross between the original McQuarrie concept and the final film version. Which I thought was a cool idea. Then scrolling through I had to laugh at my mistake.

This miniature looks great. I look forward to more posts. I promise to scroll all the way through before making any assumptions!

Fortunately his crotch isn’t a focal point of the mini, and until you mentioned it I didn’t even notice it. You can always go back and add it later. I’m forever doing this (missing something) especially with the squads as I try (badly) to use an assembly line approach.

More importantly, your Boba Fett looks terrific. I really like the base too. The details on his helmet are great and his cape looks fantastic. I have a bit of a hard time with cloaks as far as managing the shades. It is a combination of deep recesses and large mostly flat surfaces so I tend to end up with too much of a splotchy look. Yours looks amazing so I’d be curious to know how you did it.

Well fun fact you mention the cloak because even my friends in my local playgroup all go crazy about his cloak or my snowtrooper cloaks. I have to admit that i totally don't understand the difficulties people seem to have with painting cloaks. As for me i started painting this year in april with the legions stormtroopers (never done any miniature painting before), and beeing scared of touching the hero miniatures and screwing them. so i started watching sorastros painting series to get an idea of how to paint things and asked around in my local community for tips, deciding on Boba to be my first named charakter to ever paint.

For Bobas cloak i have to say i was frustrated at first becaus i glued him together making some party of his cloak literally unreachable with a brush. I used Citadels Death World Forest for the cloak covering it with about 2 or 3 layery of Agrax Earthshade. The first layer of shade i took it pure covering the hole cloak and especially focussing on the deep recesses and the holes in his cape and let it dry. One important thing is to fokus a little more of the shade to the lower 3rd of the cloak. On the second run i diluted the shade in a 2:1 ratio with lahmian medium just looking the get smooth transitions on the cloak.

For the base i just searched for a small mostly white colored stone in the back yard, glued it onto the the white primed base and then drybrushed everything with Ahriman Blue. Then added Valhallan Blizzard, finishing the rock with Ardcoat to get a shiny icy look.
