Both Hero and Mad got an anti-town read on LP. All of Mad's reads are anti-town, Hero's last is town.

If we lynch LP, and he flips scum, we know Hero is most likely sane, due to his having pegged LP. We know that Mad is paranoid, for were he insane he would have recieved a town result from LP (and we wouldn't have been having this discussion).

If we lynch LP and he flips town, we know that Mad COULD be either paranoid OR insane, but we would also know that Hero was insane (as if he were paranoid you would also have returned an anti-town result).

If we lynch Ebon, we only know Hero's sanity, and Mad is still left in the dark.

If we lynch you, we'd also know Hero's sanity, and Mad would be left in the dark.

If we lynch anyone else, both cops are left in the dark.

I would like to throw out the unlikely possibility (which just occurred to me) that if LP flip town, our scum team may be clon and Hero, which both would make sense balance wise (3-man scum team) and due to their reactions to the LP lynch.

he was and I was just typing as such, his whole thing on me today was TR'ing lp yesterday and thus not wanting to lynch
