returning player

By LordTesla, in Star Wars: Armada

As a returning Imperial player coming back to compete in regionals here in the Prairies, I was just wondering what the meta is like these days? Im particularly interested in hearing about this ISD+Quasar 2 ship build with Mareek, Jendon and Morna. Comments? Thoughts? Advice?

At Winnipeg you’ve got Yik to compete against now... He’s always had a reputation for being the one to beat ?

I can really only talk about your nearby Meta of Hothgary- and we’re diverse, but fairly Squad heavy....

You might be Dras, but alas not I! Although I may shock you by bringing more than my token Shara/Tycho to support my MC30’s next time! ? (Hey, maybe that’s why I keep getting beat?????? LOL)

Tell me all about this Yik person ?

You always have an ear to the ground Dras, what are some of the general archetypes people run these days?

What about the Pelta meta?! :D

I guess you need to chase @Truthiness to write article on Rieekan Aces archetype!

Or Dadonna generics ;)

...And then someone brings out six hammerheads with Leia on a Pelta. Maybe that's just London Ontario.

Sloane is up next, with Ace Holes following that.

Thank you! I've read the Imperial Two ship article which prompted me to make this post but I shall definitely give the others a read!

If you are after some top lists it is always good to follow Overnight Reports from Intel Sweep blog:

https://intelsweep.wordpress.com/category/star-wars-armada/the-overnight-report/

I believe @Captain Weather is the blog's author. Just remember that knowing the list in Armada is not even half of the success. You need to know how to fly it. But it is always good to check what's out there to be able to prepare or netlist something :)

Also, recently @Green Knight took Thrawn 2-ships to Nordics Nationals and wrote excellent (as always) report on his blog:

https://armadaihaveyounow.blogspot.com/2018/10/nordics-2018-after-action-report-part-2.html (and following articles)

I know there are some podcasts and YouTube channels but I don't follow any of these.
