A friend and I are going to play a large-base only game this week and I got to thinking about Han with Seasoned Navigator. For reference, the text reads like this:
After you reveal your dial, you may set your dial to another non-red maneuver of the same speed. While you execute that maneuver, increase its difficulty.
The YT1300 has blue one, two and three straight as well as two bank maneuvers. If you dialed in a 2 turn in one direction, you could switch to any two speed maneuver, taking stress only if you needed to two turn the other way. With a boost this would give you a lot of positioning options to choose from at I6, hopefully after everything else has moved and making Han a supreme arc dodger. That's the theory anyhow.
So, how to kit him out and build a list around him?
The rebels have lots of decent crew choices. I considered Hera or Nien Nunb to help the navigator but ultimately the LW/Kanan combination is super attractive to help shed stress and/or provide inbuilt dice mods for when I want to boost or rotate the turret. That leaves my Han Solo at 115 with 85 points for wing mates.
I decided to go with Wedge for another I6 buddy and AP-5. In some ways AP-5 is an odd choice to support a LW ship but I like the idea of giving Han a boost option at I1, or possibly a turret rotate while he's stressed (if in range) as well as being able to help Wedge get full mods on his attacks.
There are three points left which could be spent on R3 or R4 for Wedge, Jyn for AP-5, Selflessness, an EPT for Wedge but I felt like a bid might be nice to give Han a shot at moving after Vader or Fenn etc.
Here's the list:
Sheathipede-class Shuttle - •AP-5 - 30
•AP-5 - Escaped Analyst Droid (30)
Modified YT-1300 Light Freighter - •Han Solo - 115
•Han Solo - Scoundrel for Hire (92)
•Lone Wolf (4)
Seasoned Navigator (5)
•Kanan Jarrus (14)
T-65 X-wing - •Wedge Antilles - 52
•Wedge Antilles - Red Two (52)
Servomotor S-foils (Open) (0)
Total: 197/200

Any thoughts on Han + Seasoned Navigator? Could it be strong? How would you build it?
