Worlds at adepticon 2019?

By wblackthorn, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

So tickets are up but not buyable yet for adepticon and imperial assault worlds and armada worlds are listed as events both over two days

FFG needs to comment on whether this is actually worlds for IA and Armada. I'll be very upset if i buy a ticket for this, and am then unable to attend a Worlds event at the gamecenter in may.

I just noticed they also reduced capacity from 80 I saw before to a mere 40... ? I hope thats a joke.

edit: I'm hoping its still 80 max, with 40 for reserved seats that will open up in March if there are any spots left.

I think we’ve pretty much confirmed that this is the case, so even though it’s sold out, get a ticket and put yourself on the waiting list in case more tickets open up (and I’m sure at least some will). You can get a refund until January I think.

The reduction to 40 seats came after FFG put in a request to reserve seats for their reserved seats (regionals winners, etc). Any unclaimed tickets from that should go on sale again March 1. Definitely get on the waiting list to have priority for those, and tweet angrily to @ffgop and @adepticon on twitter about needing more available seats

It's not only about the reduced numbers of seats but the ZERO information about the event in the FFG pages. If this is the so-called World Championship I would have expected some info previous to the registration as every year in the official FFG pages.

I agree that this is absolutely baffling. I would never have expected them to suddenly announce Worlds for IA at at 2nd tier con rather than at their headquarters around the date of Star Wars day. On the bright side, I suppose they could have just cut the event entirely? Although it sucks being relegated to 2nd class, at least it's still alive.
