I see that in the article the website/app is just “going beta” on product launch this week.

Seems they learned from the xwing companion app. Not calling that a finished product right away.

Imagine if they had handed out tons of decks a few months ago, say early August. They could have had them doing beta testing for the app since then. Ah well...
