greetings, friends!
i'm sure you've all seen the spoilers for the new a-wing (looks like a ton of fun if you ask me). the ship has a turret arc that can only be rotated to the front or the rear. the ship has a (turret arc) primary weapon with two red dice.
this means the ship does not have a (front arc) attack - and so it doesn't benefit from outmaneuver with it's primary weapon - correct?
proton rockets is an amazingly fun, but very expensive secondary weapon. it's a (bullseye arc) attack - and so it doesn't benefit from outmaneuver - correct?
how fun to see that FFG made a quickbuild with the new and cool (maybe somewhat lackluster compared to the others, but still) Zari Bangel pilot, that features both outmaneuver (which she cant use, unless there is another secondary that we can't see on the card) and proton rockets!
it's prefect synergy! i think the game designers know the rules, but they're certainly not considering them when designing quick build options.
your thoughts and reflections are very welcome.
more arcs! (new a-wings quickbuilds)
Almost surely FFG goofed.
They've been pretty clear that Bullseye or Mobile arcs aren't Front arcs. This is probably a case where the rules team and folks behind the quick builds weren't in communication.
FFG dungoofed
You see, I think the Goofing is in the fact that a Turret in the front arc is not a front arc attack, this is the idiot thing that create so many other weird thing like Krassis... All of this for what ? Making sure that the Falcon and Dengar can't use it...
Honestly, the goof is Outmanoeuvre. It should read 'when you attack a target in your V' and therefore be position based, rather than weapon based. This would eliminate basically every confusion, and who cares if turrets can use it?
