Does anyone know if there is any difference in pilots or upgrades between the two? Or does the Conversion kit have everything that is in the t-70 pack? I already have 8 T-70's and really don't want to buy anymore?

We don't know the full contents of the conversion pack, but I'm 99% sure the answer is no.

The Rebel, Imperial and Scum conversion kits all included all of the content from the respective standalone releases of the same wave - we have every reason to expect that Resistance and FO kits will do the same.

This may not hold true for future releases - the /sf, Resistance Bomber etc. We'll just have to see on those.

But I fully expect all T-70 and TIE/fo contents to be in their respective kits.

Pilots: almost surely the conversion kit will have everything.

Upgrades: well, maybe.

The Core Set and Fang Fighter expansion had Afterburners, which weren't in the Conversion kits. The Force Talents weren't in the conversion kit. However, all expansion pilots were in the core set. It wouldn't surprise me for, say, Ferrosphere Paint to be absent from the conversion kit.

but you have to follow all that up with the fact that everything 'missing' from the conversion kits, was found in the Core set. which FFG assumes you have. and isn't Ferrosphere Paint an RZ-2 A-Wing upgrade? if so, then it definitely won't be in the conversion kit.

It was expected that everyone buy a Core Set. There is no Core Set in Wave 2, so it's not really the same situation.

Well yeah, that comes with the A-Wings. I wouldn’t expect the T-70 to have it in the pack.

The T-70 expansion comes with 12 ship cards and 6 upgrade cards, the ship cards and bases will all be in the conversion kit. As for the 6 upgrades it will likely be Black One, BB Astromech, BB-8, Integrated S-Foils, Targeting Synchronizer, and M9-G8 since those are the ones from the reveal articles. Which means if you skip out on the conversion kit you will lose out on the third unique Resistance astromech until it is released with some other ship, one that isn't part of the current 4 options.

If you are picking up the conversion kit then the only thing you will be missing out on is a model that is integrated with patented flappy wing tech.
