Wolves of the north + Invoke Khaine's wrath

By Shindulus, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Invoke Khaine's wrath :

Play at the end of any battlefield phase. Action: Destroy all units that participated in combat this phase.

Wolves of the north :

Action: During your quest phase, the unit questing on this card can initiate a single attack against a single zone controlled by an opponent.

I would say that I am not able to play Invoke Khaine's wrath after the attack of the unit questing on this card.

Am i right?

Well, you can play Invoke.... it just wouldn't destroy the wolves. happy.gif

For me I can't even play Invoke Khaine's Wrath because there is no legal state for playing it.

no, unless that unit can attack from any zone (like greyseer, dragon slayers) and it's attacking during battlefield phase.

if you had a unit on Wolves attacking me (during quest phase as per quest ability) and played Khaine's Wrath after damage is applied, then i'd say to you: "are you sure you want to skip your capital phase and battlefield phase to play Khaine's Wrath only to have it be auto-cancelled?"

To witch I will answer "It's your capital and battlefield phase that I am trying to skip" gui%C3%B1o.gif

Edit : But it is ok for the main question of my topic thank you.

i know your answer was in jest, but to clarify - it can ONLY be played at end of battlefield phase. it doesnt make opponent skip phases or anything if you try to play at any other time - you simply can't play it at other times. If its owner plays it after said owner draws cards for quest phase, i meant it would be like voluntarily skipping capital & battlefield phases and throwing the card away, which isnt very likely :)

Yes, you are correct in the timing. I meant that you could play it at the end of the battlefield phase following the quest phase in which the wolves attacked, it just wouldn't destroy it.
