Scratch-built Republic Cruiser
This is awesome, it’ll also fit nicely with the new Republic faction!
Do you have more pictures of this fine ship? Some close-up shots perhaps?
Scale looks great for that one. Most impressive.

I don't have any close-up shots of the finished thing, I'm afraid. Not a lot of light in my house and the camera struggles to focus much closer. To be honest these things always look a bit better from a reasonable distance anyway. I do have one other decent shot of it flying with the Rebel fleet.

Thanks - scale is 1:400. It's about 30cm long and sits on the Rebel Transport base (since that one lines up best with sturdy parts of the hull).
Nice fleet! When do we play?
Your lighting isn't too bad. Looks good to my eye.
Also for future reference, it tends to be better if you zoom in to "get closer" than to actually physically get closer to the model. The lens tends to distort the subject if you get too close. Just remember to hold your breath when snapping the pic & brace the camera against something solid to help ward off the shakes that come from your heartbeat when you're zooming in.

Or snap on exhale while braced. Old hunter's trick that applies, you're shaking less.

I hear that. I'm always finding paint mistakes on my "finished" models in my photos. *sigh*
I like that you set up a decent background. Just as a perfectionist, it drives me crazy when people do an awesome repaint, then have their paint-encrusted thumb or a coffee mug in the shot.
Nice piece, in any event!!

Both these pictures are actually long exposures taken with a tripod and a timer!
