Vulture Droid Pilot - New Unique Mechanic?

That's my plan so far. I will go in for a single Vulture too, because I am absolutely sure it will have at least one important card not available in the SoS pack. Time will tell how many more we will need of each.

If you look at the packs they both have the Generic Trade Federation Drone, 2 pip Haor Chall Prototype, Generic Separatist Drone, and the 3 pip Precise Hunter, and then they each come with 1 unique option. The Sep pack comes with a 1 pip unique Int 3 pilot one the top row to the left of the second copy of Precise Hunter and the Vulture droid pack comes with a 1 pip Int 1 pilot between the Generic Separatist Drone and the 2 pip Haor Chall Prototype.

Neither of which might be exclusive to the packs the spreads they are in are part of since they haven't revealed all of the cards from the packs, though still possible they are.

I mean, it would make sense that they have something unique to them, they will obviously want to promote people to pick up both expansions if possible and the Jedi Starfighter comes with pilots in its standalone release that aren't in its squadron pack. I think we have seen all of the pilot cards for the expansions with the exception of the Sith Infiltrator since it mentions having 5 ships cards in the product description, but I'd like to be wrong since it looks like there isn't an Adi Gallia pilot card and I'd love to have her in the Delta 7.

There is clearly one unique pilot in each source (going off their pictures, ans assuming all of the pilots are shown), I wouldn't be surprised if the buzz droids were also unique to the stand alone as well since there doesn't appear to be anything else as much as it will suck for anyone who wants to fully equip a squad with them.

It's been lurking in the RRG this whole time!

"Some ship cards and upgrade cards have limitations. These limited cards are identified by a number of bullets (•) to the left of their names. During squad building, a player cannot field more copies of cards that share that name than the number of bullets in front of the name.

• For example, if one bullet appears in front of a card’s name, it can be included only once in a squad. Likewise, if two bullets appear in front of a card’s name, it can be included up to twice in a squad."

This idea was used extensively in the Decipher SWCCG. I'm sure the devs were aware, and borrowed the concept.

There's a few other FFG games that use the unique dot mechanic and have the multi form of it. I kinda figured everyone knew. I saw it when reading through the new RRG long ago and thought nothing of it other than they seemed to want that mechanics potential fully utilized in second edition and we're just leaving the door open. I remember even discussing it with some people somewhere. It's a super cool place to put it in the Droid faction, now that we know what they had in mind ? . Pumped.

Its how many of that ship you can have in a list. Its in the rules now, just not utilized other than one for limited.

Well traditionally dots mean a limit on the number you can have and that limit is the number of dots.

See example below

This is not a new mechanic in customizable table top gaming.

Well some of us haven’t played other games ?

The buzz droid token isn’t in the Servants of Strife, so I don’t see why the card would be.

Vulture bubble looks like the only one with Buzz Droids.

The Scum Z-95 is shown with a Calculate token and a Focus token even though none of the Z-95 have the calculate action. The spreads are a rough indicator of what will be in the expansion, not a tell all.

Eeeeh calculate is a bit more generic than buzz droids though. Maybe you’re right, idk.
