I do plan on buying all of the new faction ships. What I'm hoping for from FFG is a list of the point values for the ships and upgrades like they did for the 2.0 initial release. I'd like to know just how many points a ship costs before buying it so I don't over do it like I've done in 1.0.

I agree that’d be very helpful. Hopefully they do that for every faction.

Has anyone else noticed that the Delta-7 dial has 2-speed Sengor Loops?

-Edit -I thought for a second that R4’s decrease the difficulty of all speed 1 and 2 maneuvers, but double checked and saw it was only basic maneuvers.

That would have been nasty.

It would have been deliciously nasty! I was “in need of new pants” excited for a second.

This might have already been mentioned and I just missed it, but has anyone noticed there appears to be an Expert Handling card in the Guardians of the Republic pack?

It's weird, because neither the V-19 nor the Delta-7 have a red barrel roll. They also both have a native white barrel roll, so it's not even like it might be meant to combo with a specific upgrade that gives a red barrel roll. It seems to be a totally useless card for that pack (as in literally can't be equipped by either ship), which I don't think FFG has ever done before.

Could be the traditional mistake in the article, of course, or an early placeholder for something else. But it still seems odd.

Hm. The ARC kit comes with one... I could definitely see it being a goof in the GotR pack.

There's also a copy of Saturation Salvo pictured, and that requires a reload action. I guess they're just supplying a pile of cards that are intended to be useful with future expansions for that faction.

Yeah, it's like a conversion kit.

That’s covered by the “limited” dot next to names.

You actually misunderstood me, though I certainly could have said it more clearly.

I meant that if you equip a Tactical Relay upgrade with the Solitary keyword, that you would not be allowed to equip another Tactical Relay card to any ships in your list. It doesn't care about the name of the upgrade but rather what type of upgrade it is.

So whatever the other Tactical Relay is in the spreads can't be equipped if this one is in the same squad.

However, I have considered another alternative, which is that Solitary might mean that you can equip nothing else to the ship that takes the upgrade. So, assuming a Vulture droid can take the Tactical Relay upgrade, that same Vulture droid would not be able to equip missiles or modifications (or whatever else they might be able to take) due to the extra space needed for the tactical computerization or whatever.

I wonder if Solitary just means "this ship must be the only one of this ship in your list". So you can't have two Infiltrators, both with Tac Relay upgrades. But you could potentially have Maul and Grievous, both with Tac Relays.

Except Solitary is on a non-ship upgrade.

I suspect it'll be 'must be the only one of this slot on this ship' - i.e. that 'programming' type slot might be on the ship (or some ships) in multiples, but Solitary ones block any remaining slots, meaning that they can go in a single-slot ship, but can't be put with others in a multiple-slot ship.

Indeed, I wonder if the 'programming' type slot will replace Elite for the CIS robot ships.

As regards unique ships, I don't see any particular reason they couldn't put the Unique dot next to the ship name, in addition to or instead of the pilot name. it would require a slight rewrite of the rules for Limited cards, but that's well within the bounds of possibility.

Or maybe you're only allowed 1 Tactical Relay upgrade per list. A possibility.

If it was that it would just be Limited with a dot. The keyword would not be necessary.

That would mean "you can only have one of this specific card".

The theory is you can only have one Tac Relay, period, per list.

The dots are next to the name of the specific card (IE Han Pilot or Outer-Rim Pioneer) limiting that. Solitary could indicate of this type, in this case Tactical Relay.

Oooh you mean one of that slot type?

I see. Yeah, that's plausible. I was reading Tactical Relay as the card name, not the slot type.

Someone suggested in another thread that the Solitary keyword might mean that you can only equip it to pilots that have a single Limited dot. I don't think this is it personally but it's another interesting alternative.

Any guesses as to the Republic and CIS faction-specific Elite upgrades?

CIS: Beauraucratic

Republic: Old-fashioned

XD

I’d say give Beauraucratic to the Republic, and have the CIS one being “Deceitful” or “Fodder”.

I was just thinking about that with a better reveal of the Heoric card. We still don’t know the FO’s, right?

The Republic’s will obviously be Clone-based, as the Jedi don’t have EPTs, and the CIS will have... Grievous and his Magna Guards? Will they give any Vultures EPTs? They might just not have one, who knows.

The First Order's is Fanatical. Text: When you perform a primary attack, if you are not shielded, you may change 1 focus result to a hit result.

I would love it if the Republic’s were Brotherhood, with a picture of a clone squadron all fighting alongside each other; buff others with brotherhood equipped.

We could get a double-sided Alt-Art of Obi-Wan and Anakin standing back to back and the flip side has Obi-Wan standing over Anakin’s limbless form on Mustafar ?

K but really how long ‘til we get a “High ground” reference in some form of upgrade?

Probably going to pop up in Legion if anywhere. :)

Whatever the ability is, they should give the Republic Clone EPT the name “Reliable”. And the CIS Droid/Greivous EPT could be “ Run Adjective() “.

How about the Clone one be "Malmuk" (look 'em up, it fits)...
