Because the descrepency of options between them and the new factions is VAST

This is not a bad thing, as really we haven't scratched the surface of 2nd Ed

And honestly, a little tweeking with point costs and upgrade slots will do far more for variety than new releases

I don't expect brand new content, but I do expect generic content released in future waves will find its way into ship releases.

Warmahordes has done it to update their game and motherfluffing ATTACK WING just straight seems them as apparently part of their waves

It's not in the standalone Delta-7, and while there are still unrevealed cards in the squadron pack it seems somehow unlikely that FFG would put R2-D2 in the one without Anakin.

Add the Vulture's config in and I suspect 22-24. Being able to ignore asteroids and debris could be potent.

Do we know for sure that any of the new upgrades aren't faction-locked? Most of what I see we either can't see the requirement area or they are things that are either shown to be restricted or are extremely likely to be restricted based on context.

Was thinking on buying into republic the second they release conversion kit for my Arcs, Y wings and Z-95, but this approach makes me sad panda, and opens eyes to other factions (those droids look tasty)

They have a ship ability, a linked action and that configuration card may well be 0 points.

Easily enough to make up for a worse dial and only dropping 1 agility (the Z-95 approach). They'll still be 23-24 points.

No, that's Lumiya.

Luminara Unduli was a Jedi who debuted in AotC and featured in several Clone Wars episodes.

As to why Rebels are missing a ship...I have no idea. But do keep in mind that Rebels got extra X-wing pilots in Saw's Renegades, in addition to new U-wing pilots, while the Empire got only the Reaper pilots. From that point of view, releasing the TIE striker makes a lot of sense.
