Today we’ve got a bad case of either infanticide or fratricide. But which will it be? Rexler, Wedge, and Sabine have been wiped from the board, netting each player 101 points. Believe it or not the game is a tie so far! There are 15 minutes left in the match. Both pilots are full on force, Vader has not expended a single Afterburners charge, while Luke has open S-foils, 1 Proton Torp charge, and 1 R2 Astromech charge. Both players have already managed to grab locks on one another. It’s a battle of force and wits.

This is interesting!

Closing the S-foils and boosting into a k-turn with Luke covers most of Vader's options with the last proton.

The BR+3-turn should get Vader out of arc if he guesses the right k-turn (at least with Afterburners), and maybe range if he goes the wrong way. But if Luke does anything else than the k-turn, it's a bad move. If Vader had more time I would dial in the 5-straight, but as is the 3-turn left would be my move.

I'm curious to read other people's thoughts. Is this a better spot for Vader than I think?

No supernatural on either means Lule needs to bank somewhere - probably boost away. Vader is over that rock though...

Both have Supernatural. (You have to look at the lists to find this out.)

I agree it's a little bit confusing to only include certain select upgrades in the image. I believe the rationale is to show clearly in the image the board state (i.e. which side of S-foils is face up and how many charges remain) but for full information you need to examine the actual lists.

If they both have supernatural then it's probably stalemate, tbh. If Vader lets Luke get shots, he's doing it wrong, if Luke lets vader get good enough shots to kill him, HE's doing it wrong.

The decision trees are way too deep to say much beyond that.

E: luke's best move is probably to regen, get onto one side or the other of Vader and try to block his roll - and hope he picked the right one. But it's pretty much a 50:50 call.

This is indeed the intended idea. Would rather keep the images as uncluttered as possible but I'm open to feedback.
