Wookies

Hey was just wondering what people think of this list. Pretty much get the wookies to charge in and kill lots of stuff while the rebels capture objectives. The 1.4 FD (which is supposed to have barrage generator whoops) will deploy behind the wookies to give them cover fire

PS. I have been told chewie will cost more than what it says here, but just for now ignore that I can always take a bowcaster off the wookies. I just want to know if this would work to begin with.thanks!

Chewie is 100, Han would love Emergency Stims and I think the Rotary gun on the troops is worth dropping some upgrades. I like the bowcaster, but I think a wookiee rush is probably the best bet for a list like this. Maybe drop the bowcasters, grab some terrain/cover and double move. Recon Intel might be worth it (Scout 1) for the Wookiees. Then you can fit the rotary guns, and the opponent has to make a hard choice in trying to shoot your troops that are picking them off or shoot the raging wookiees flying at him and hitting him turn 2.

Yeah now that you say it no clue why I put the bowcaster on. Double moving as much as I can with then and triggering charge would be the way to go.

Well, its 3 more health added to the unit, so it has a use either way, I just think in this list, you may be better off rushing. You'll live and die by the cover and the dice rolls. Literally.

Just because you have the bowcaster does not mean you have to use it. It is, as mentioned, an extra 3 health and extra melée attack dice. And if you come into the situation where your only option is to shoot you are going to love it. Its a bonus incase you ever get to shoot, that is how I see it.
Have tested the wookies twice, upgraded them with the bowcaster both times, I did not shoot with it but never regretted that 4 model.

I was surprised by Royal guards who shoot at me when I had moved outside their charge range, so they shoot me and it was respectfully powerfull.

Of course, if you go with 3 squads I can understand why you would drop it to increase your army size. And hey, maybe the wookies work really well without the bowcaster, just my personal thought.

I understand why you want Han to be the leader but I think Luke would synergise better since you cant shoot into melée and Luke and the wookies all want to get into melée.

You're almost out of batteries.

Like other games I've played your melee units are meant to rush in tie things up and do some damage while the rest of the units mop up and capture objectives, etc. I don't know that 4 units of naked rebels and han and Chewie are going to be able to accomplish that though. Han can do some damage but only 2 at a time. Chewie can too. It might work on some scenarios, but i would worry about this list in a tournament. You should definitely play it,
