In fairness, when Yoda is dueling, he does very little beyond lightsaber attacks and countering his opponents abilities. I'm in favor of the OP's stats.

In the end, this thread is a good reminder on why stat blocks for main characters are a foolish idea.

Hmm... I would say the level of accuraccy in the first statement is less than complete. He does about the same amount of jumping, throwing etc. as Sidious and Vader. In addition, stats from FFG heavily favour simplicity and the stat updates the OP did are much more in line with the officially published material.

The second statement really doesn’t add anything productive, and only serves to undermine the effort and great product of the OP. As a word of advice, I would reconsider including statements like that in the future.

Thanks for the feedback, kaesoe. Always happy to hear people's thoughts.

Re your comments; I haven't seen Yoda do much other than telekinesis, lightsaber attacks and use protect during combat. I considered giving him Hawk Bat Swoop or Linked 1, since I have seen both of those during Ep II.

Do you have any other suggestions as to what he could do or something from the canon that I could incorporate? My interpretation of Yoda is based on him as a warrior sage during the end of the Clone Wars, if that helps conceptualise the character better.

@masterstrider I like these as simple interpretations of both Yoda and Palpatine. I tried something similar coming from the opposite direction of building them as characters.

One thing that bugged me was trying to explain the Episode 3 scene where Palpatine dropped 2 councilors in one flowing move. The answer I came up with was Sarlacc Sweep allowing Palpatine to attack multiple characters at once and then a few ranks of Lethal Blows plus a particularly vicious lightsaber. This also had the nice bonus in making one of Palpatine's weaknesses someone who was particularly good at parrying lightsaber blows (especially if the vicious rating on his saber came at the cost of damage), which explains the issues he had with Windu and Yoda until he could start using the Force against them directly. I feel like this may help shore up your Palpatine a little.

On the Yoda front since we never see him with much gear anyways, I went with the Empty Soul talent it helps alleviate the need for dice fixing on the Force dice rolls, freeing up more dice to commit if needed. I am surprised by the lack of Ataru abilities since Yoda is one of the more definitive examples of it we see on screen (though I fully admit a Saber Swarm from him would be devastating, so I can sort of see it).

And then for both of them I see no mention of being able to commit dice for Enhance or Sense. Even if it's not active by default the option could be useful and helps alleviate the possibility of them just crushing everything with their FP 7.

I think that Yoda's stats should note that he is Silhouette 0, as he clearly is.
